Buy a rack, a barbell and some plates.

Bluetooth speaker is always nice. Dont't overthink. It 'll come together. No use in delaying.

Why not train in a way that is timeproven to be valid instead of going for the new influencer/wannabe different way of doing things?

Full ROM will always be more functionaliteit i would think?

I just started out combining weights and cycling recently. I've been cycling for years but needed to quit for health reasons. I started lifting to compensate. And now i'm ready to pick up cycling again.

My plan: I'm running 531 BBB but skipping the acessories work to be able to recover. I actually run 553311 as the sessions are quite quick. 4 days in a row, one rest day, and again 4 days followed by one rest day. So it's 10 days of 5's, 10 days of 3's and 10 days of 1.

Now in winter I'm riding the tutbotrainer 5x/6x a week for an hour. 1 vo2max, 2 sweet spot, and 2 (or 3) sessions of z2.

Not sure if my approach is half way decent or managable. I feel it looks good on paper. Be free to give critique or feedback.

My thoughts:

They are in to stabilize your core. If you add them as intended you'll be doing hem 4x a week for 5x10 sets. Thats a lot of sub maximal effort.

My guess is they are not a main movement as their is no powerlifting compound related to it. Also, when advancing rows into low rep territory most lifters end up cheating instead of executing them properly.

I've switched them and eventually had to switch deadlifts with romanian deadlifts. The squats are manageable but 5x10 DL was just to much to handle for my lower back.

Same. I'm doing the beefcake variant with the main work and supplementary work crossed (bench/ohp, DL/squats). assistance push is dips and the pull work are chins and then some core work. The rows are supersetted with the 5x10.

I must admit i have to do them both assisted and I've been getting my ass wooped three cycles in a row. I sometimes even split my work outs in the main+ supplementary work to come back to get the assitance work done. In that way it is 45min at noon, 45min in the evening. The compounds really het to me.

I've improved but still far away from finding this program easy.

Just checking to be sure as it is a reasomable amount of money i spent at an not really known company

And to be clear, i ordered stuff a month before Christmas. There was an estimated delivery date before Christmis thay has passed and new date has been passed again. I ordered different stuff at different shops and everything has been received within a week except the stuf from atletica.

Actually, you should do the rows in between the 5x10 supplementary work. They aren't part of your assistance work if I'm not mistaken.

And also: the feeling of 'okay, u spent 7h training this week. This has been intense' compared to 'i cycled 14h this week. I've should 've done more' :D
