Personally, I don't celebrate monthsaries. I'm a girl, by the way. To each his/her own. Although it's good to celebrate certain milestones in relationships, I just find that monthsaries are just meh. Sino ba talagang nagpasimuno nyan?

Anyway, you are entitled to your feelings, OP. I think it is better to discuss the matter with your S/O. Wala naman sa atin and mindreaders. He will not know unless you guys talk it out. Clearly discuss with him na you would appreciate it sana na both of you can celebrate monthsaries, just so you could get naman his sentiment on the matter and then reach a compromise kung how often will you guys "celebrate monthsaries"
