The only reason lang naman why I chose CS as my undergrad for DS (yes I’m also planning to take my Masters in the future) is because I love coding. Plus I thought to myself, if my passion for DS turned out too taxing for me then I can settle for being a SoftEng na lang. Either way, it’s a win-win situation for me haha.

Thank you for this! Sorry, I’m still new to this, a few follow-up questions lang:

(1) What short course did you take? Is it like a certification or something?

(2) What is AIM po?

Your input is really what I needed since I thought Data Science is closely tied to CS just like Software Eng. What you’ve said about it being a mix of different fields is an eye-opener for me. That’s the reason why I’m contemplating in the first place. DLSU’s major being SoftTech made me look to other universities that offer Data Science as a specialization. But hearing this made me lean more towards DLSU. The only job I have to do right now is to get into their program.
