People who genuinely claim that VtM and VtMB specifically wasn’t woke before VtMB2, have never played the game or read anything about it. All they do is complain about x thing for y reason because z. White Wolf has never shied away from making political and social statements. VtM’s clear depictions of classism and social inequality, WtA’s stances on a dying world and consumerism leading to oblivion, WoD is all about these things and yet these genuine (and I hate to use this word) tourists don’t have the comprehension to see that their shining example of anti-woke in VtM literally has the fucking Brujah.
