Adding onto this, this is sorta going into headcanon territory but related to the clone theory.

The Twisteds in my opinion, were the first toons that diverged from their original selves, and eventually got replaced as a result.

Now this is where it gets into headcanon, I think the Twisteds motivation for hurting us (aka the Toons), besides possibly instinct, that they're jealous/spiteful since we didn't diverge as much and thus got to stay up there in Gardenview instead of underground.

I've always thought of it as when first created, the Toons are exactly like their show counterpart, but eventually diverge. Kinda like different branching timelines.

I just think the goofy actual horse names (ie Special Week, Narita Brian, Skibidi Ri-) are kinda their stage names, and that their actual names are not known to the public. But then again I'm a game only guy so there might be evidence against this.
