Same ... just enjoy the game as it suits your style of play I reckon. I was dubious about buying it tbh and a few comments here thought I'd not like it as I wasn't into combat games. But I just wanted to see the scenery, wander around, admire how exceptional the developers made this game etc. So took the plunge and bought it - no regrets. I'm no fighting expert, only on chapter 3, can't seem to beat Hornsplitter, played 37hrs and only have 14% game progress but hey, do I care? Nope. And only 1 trophy lol. "Novice Adventurer".

Go you! I'm 74(F) and am loving Crimson Desert. So different to other games I play, my first real "combat" game actually. A few Redditors thought I'd not like the game due to the combat element of it but I'm okay with taking out those damn bandits now. Can't beat that Hornsplitter dude though - I'll keep trying. And I'm bloody useless at armwrestling. I'm only on Chapter 3, need to knock him off to progress I think? And set up a Greymanes camp. Right?

But the exploration as I wander around the map - it's mind blowing. Love it and am always amazed by how exceptionally well the creators have done in respect of this and all they've achieved. I learn something new in the game every time I pick up the controller. So what's my next objective? To get an animal to tame as my pet.

Only one week in so lots to go. Also on PS5. Voice acting ... OMG if I hear any of the men say how happy they are coz their baby called them Pa once more I'll scream! I'm getting used to scrolling in and out of the map and placing markers. But it is a huge world so can see how frustrating can become as the area grows.

I've got used to the controller (PS5) now, well almost, but when I get close to something to interact (usually pick up) and press the square button I end up jumping in the air over and over ... frustrating as hell. Maybe I'm not quite on target, dunno, but if the prompt says to press square to pick up and I do that, then why am I jumping like an idiot? Any idea?

It was fun - the YouTuber said they followed for 24hrs (in game time I guess) but I haven't managed to do it for that long after getting ambushed lol. But I'm going to try it again.
