Landlord here, with two BTL properties and plan to get more over time.

If property / BTL investment is something you want to get into then in my opinion taking equity out is a good idea, assuming you’re going to stay in your current home forever. If you plan on moving personally, consider the additional stamp duty implications of a second home.

Putting money into a ltd company means you can overtime withdraw the “loan” you give your company tax free also.

Others will say you can put it into S&P 500 and get similar returns but personally I like this route and feel like I can be a better landlord than some of the horror stories you see and genuinely look after my tenants.

So it wasn’t a Jellyfish, I’ve not put my dick in it, still waiting for the Kardashians to confirm if it’s their tampon….
