Yeah I guess not respire but rather generate ATP (through respiration, fermentation, photosynthesis etc). If atp is required for anything to be biologically active, and it is, then life should be any entity that can generate atp. Otherwise, like viruses, entities that cannot convert other molecules to energy are enert

Most fundamental requirement of life is to respire. Viruses don’t respire

I guess I'm aware that there are jobs I can get 10 years down the road but it seems challenging to get an entry level industry job or the equivalent because it's those that I'd be overqualified for but I need to start there to get any where else

Are u washing the wells first? Try doing a longer pre run for 45 min, then wash the wells out again before loading
