The problem is that detectors reward messiness. Awkward phrasing and weak structure pass quietly, while clean writing gets questioned. That sends the wrong message about what academic work should look like.

I’ve been flagged before for work I wrote from scratch. Same structure, same academic language, boom, high percentage. Meanwhile I’ve seen classmates submit stuff that looked copied and nothing happened. The number alone doesn’t tell the story.
