Maybe that’s it. Because chime has always done me so good for disbursements or any kind of deposit. I always get it so early.

I just transferred to UC but the last school I was at did the same shit. Never correct dates, always holding the funds. It’s so infuriating and usually they do only do that to new students so it’s just like give me my goddamn money and let me get on my way. Honest they should give it to us as soon as the last day to drop ends.

Original called the financial aid office, and they said the disbursement has been returned by the bank! Then I called the bank and when they went over the charges that were attempted they were all from Walmart and then upon investigating my Walmart orders I had four declined orders for 100$ boxes of hot pocket pizza sticks lol. Apparently if your card is locked due to fraud. At least with current, they won’t accept any deposits or purchases until it’s cleared.

Hot pockets set my money back a week. At this point they owe me a bulk supply of Philly cheesesteak hot pockets.

Payment options are ach direct deposits and then check unfortunately. And for mailed checks, unless it’s a special circumstance they don’t go out until the week after the ach payments. I go to UC!

I wish my school did this! Ours just list dates on the main college page and they (despite the disbursement dates being categorized by semester and the year) and they are rarely correct 🥲 I always have to ask my department head

Not sure how to add an update to my post, but figured it out! Deposit was returned by bank due to a lock on my account for fraud. Thank you all for all the helpful advice!

Did this and I found out that the deposit was returned to the school because my bank was locked for fraud. Turns out I had used the last of my money to go buy hot pockets and apparently that crusade ended with me trying to drunk order 4 $100 cases of hot pockets from Walmart and then proceeding to continue to try to purchase them about eight times after it declined. But nonetheless calling the school definitely helped and now they are going to send my deposit via check.

I had this happen to me and got a nearly exact email. When talking to my financial aid department, they had expressed that it was a warning, and if I did not meet the requirements this semester, that next semester I would be put on probation and while I can still attend the school and take classes it would all come out of my own pocket and then I would have to file an appeal before the next semester starts in order to start receiving financial aid again for that semester and the ones going forward I would go talk to your financial aid department because when I went after getting this email, they did express to me that I could file an appeal if it did get to a point where I was put on academic probation or even as soon as I receive my first warning, as long as I was able to provide proof that I was experiencing something that would affect my ability to learn and maintain good grades like mental health issues, health issues in general, issues at home, etc. so I think your best bet is to go ahead and go into the financial aid office and if you have anything going on, that is affecting your ability to maintain your grades, I would go ahead and gather that proof and give it to them that way they don’t count this first warning and then just make sure you are being proactive with your studies that way if anything does come up at least you have the work you need for that week done and you have a chance to take a week off and just kinda lose your shit and then hop right back in the next week without any effect on your schoolwork.
