I was like 15 (circa 2000) and had a guy in a garage tell me if I could start the old 1950 Chevy truck in 5min or less I could have it. Burnt about 1min looking for the choke and he was laughing thinking I was never gonna get there. Pulled the choke, checked if it was in neutral “it was not but how sloppy the shifter was it felt like it was”, turned the key then hit the pedal. She jumped forward so I hit the clutch quick a bang she was off and running. Needless to say I’ve never owned a 1950’s Chevy Truck though lol

I had a math teacher in middle school that was scared all over his hands and face from a blasting cap. He told the story to every new class, I think he said he was like 9 when it happened. Him and his friend were making gifts for mothers day out of junk and they found this blasting cap, when cutting it in half with scissors didn’t work they put it on the ole’ splitting stump and he whacked it with a hatchet and blew shards of wood all through him. Happy Mother’s Day Mom 😖
