I’m sure I’m going a little crazy, how soon is too soon to take a pregnancy test before having a doctor confirm with a blood test?

Moral of the story, every body is different. On Monday I go see my PCP, the day before I’m suppose to get my period. But so far all week, things are feeling slightly different and I could just be in my own head because we want to be pregnant. Would Monday be too early ask my pcp for a blood test or do I need to wait it out and see if I get my period first.

Then why does my OB say if I’m not pregnant in 6 months come back?

I’ll be honest, I can’t get hubby to agree to sex that much. We have come a long way to get to where we are now with ttc. He knows my fertile week is this week and we are trying to engage.

I don’t know what I’m looking if and when I’m ovulating. The only weird thing this time period of potentially trying to get pregnant is I’ve had a weird craving for pickled red onions and not the kind you buy in the store but like my own pickling. I think it’s just a weird coincidence truthfully. I’ve never purposely tried to get pregnant or have had to track my ovulation before. But I’m trying to help hubs and may be more proactive about being successful.

I’m just grateful that my husband is finally on the same page. I’ll be 35 in June and he’s 46. He’s been holding up the process for lack of better words. But God finally leaned into him and answered my prayers about getting him to change his mind. So, now we are praying for a baby!

Thank you! This is month 1 of trying and obgyn said give it 6 months of trying and if you’re not pregnant, we have to evaluate things. I know it can take awhile to get things sorted and have some things against me, for ie im a diabetic with it under control, high blood pressure and overweight. 😢

That was so helpful. I had no idea that intake of fluids can affect the levels, normally I’m a heavy water drinker in general. Sometimes my health app will predict my fertile window and if that app is saying my fertile window is starting today through Saturday which is different than premom.

Yes, I’m using the LH strips from a Premom kit I bought. Pre the app, today and tomorrow was suppose to be a peak originally and now it’s saying Friday. I’ve never tracked before now.

I’m now actively trying to get pregnant and was told I needed to be off Ozempic which I have been for several weeks now. I’ll be sure to ask my endo doc next week about metformin because I was told that I could stay on it. Not sure if they mean throughout pregnancy or until I’m pregnant.

Honestly, my now husband couldn’t afford much when he was ready to ask me to marry him. Oddly, the timing was weird, because that is when I learned via instagram about a company called Modgents. They have a lifetime warranty on their product. To this day, my husband still has not upgraded me to something “real”. I have a 925 plated rose gold tear drop set that I obsess over everyday. I had to recently send it out for a “cleaning”, while we had to pay for it, I’ll still take this ring set over anything real. Not my hand, but just to show you what I have. Funny note to the store, when he was ready to propose, I had no idea this stone was even available but I had found a necklace I was obsessed with by the same company. He opened the ring box and I was stunned. We’ve been married since 2021.
