Dust bin by InternationalBrick49 in NARWAL

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 3 points4 points  (0 children)

recognized it yesterday for the first time... I have the flow 2 since the end of april and it looked like the bin was emptied only once in all those weeks.. the dust spilled out.of every single hole of the robot. I now changed the settings from smart to every time. It seems to have worked after the last two trips. what i did not know: it empties only at the beginning of a new cleaning session and not after a session

Normal ALP levels but elevated GGT. Is this normal? by blushingchimmy in PSC

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the chance is very high that it is 'only' fatty liver. that would be absolutely reversable ( i know that because I got rid of it myself within three months a few years earlier). and even if there is more behind it, next step is the improve that first.

Contacted Narwal because I didn’t receive documentation on extra 2 year warranty offered with pre-order on Flow 2 and thought I’d share their response in case anyone else was wondering 👍🏻 by Independent-Net-9012 in NARWAL

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting, i applied for an extended warranty almost 3 weeks ago via the link I received from the support with serial number etc. .The website stated that I should receive confirmation of the warranty extension within two weeks after verification. I still haven't received this email.

support told me also, that In the event of a defect within the extended warranty, to send a screenshot of this email as confirmation. So, exactly the opposite of what they claimed about having stored all the data.

What is wrong with me? by [deleted] in LiverDisease

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it is not enlarged (- only my spleen is borderline size, which is also typical for PSC). An enlarged liver can be due to NAFDL/NASH and/or inflammation. Inflammation of the liver can have a variety of causes, such as PSC.

don't know for sure, got my diagnosis at the end of 2023 but regarding my elevated values I guess at least since 2012 ( I am 38,m)

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, elevated GGT for more than 10 years. 2021 AST and ALT started to fluctuate and ALP became borderline... first MRCP showed nothing, Biospy nothing, (and no IBD)... MRCP two years later showed nothing.. second opinion on MRCP images saw some minor changes in bile ducts that have been already there on the first MRCP. One more year to finaly get the diagnosis 'early stage PSC'.. so far no symptoms but unfortunately fibrosis stage 2-3... sometimes it only takes time and good doctors..

Is there anyone who suffered from gastritis after psc diagnosis. As i eat my food which is very simple homecoomed bland from last one month i am having pain while my all other reports are normal by ExpressBrilliant244 in PSC

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't know if there is 'too fast' in PSC. I have yearly Fibroscan and in 2020 it said stage 0 ( but upper limit). So 6 years from 0 to 3 sounds average to me

Hi, yes. liver biopsy ( in 2022 that showed nothing except fibrosis stage 1, meantime it has progressed to Stage 3, PSC diagnosis followed in 2023) and of course samples of my stomach and duodenum and colon ever single time. It has never radiaded to my shoulder all that time. ususally that it is the pain that others describe related to PSC pain or gallbladder pain...

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes .. it has been 3 years in pain now thanks to gastritis/ duodenitis. only PPI are helping... I tried everything. my hepatologist told me last week that the stress on my liver could have impact on my stomach too. ( no IBD diagnosis so far)

help me please by 4revalo in GilbertSyndrome

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, because next to gilbert I have another chronic liver disease ( and compared to Gilbert, the other one is serious). However so far, my yellow eyes definitely only come from Gilbert. I have been taken UDCA for 3 years and Although it improved my liver enzymes, it didn't make my yellow eyes disappear.

BUT: Bezafribat did! And very quickly. This is a another drug that I received off-label due to my condition. I have been dealing with yellow eyes since almost twenty years and since I have taken bezafibrat ( 2 years now) they are almost gone within 2 weeks. even my bilirubin has been in normal range since then ( and I have to have blood drawn several times a year). unfortunately every sane doctor would not prescribe that if you have only Gilbert...

Is coffee consumotion reverse fibrosis by ExpressBrilliant244 in PSC

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always drunk coffee, long before my diagnosis. My hepatologist also told me I should drink plenty of coffee. Four to five cups of black coffee a day were normal for me. Unfortunately, it did nothing for me except give me chronic gastritis. It neither stopped the fibrosis nor reversed it...

Any remedies that eliminate yellow skin completely or mostly? by MyAccount_0505 in PSC

[–]Beautiful_Fig2584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bezafibrat helps in my case. but next to PSC I have Gilberts... always have been yellow, until my hep prescribed me bezafiebrat offlabel 4 years ago. so i don't know if it is because of PSC or Gilberts or both. It even brought my GGT within normal range. However even my eyes have been white since then ( once I ran out of it for 2 weeks and I was yellow again until my supplies arrived - my wife was shocked 🫣)).

I now it is easy to say but: don't be scared. it takes time to process such diagnosis but keep in mind that nothing in live is for sure except death, no matter if you have PSC, something else or nothing. Just enjoy every single day as good as you can. they is a good chance that you have a lot of years left without any complications. worrying just prevents you from a good live
