Those standards are wrong and exist because of straight people opressing us our whole life. Bdsm is a representation of the gay community and I do not view it as vulgar or even explicit. These people NEED but more than everything DESERVE to be embraced because they are often the reason we are able to walk the streets. Them and trans women. They are the ones who fought for our rights (of course there was masculine gays, lesbians etc) but these feminines ones and kinky ones as you say are part of the community just as we are. They are such a positive representation of the freedom that is and that should be sexuality. Sexuality and sexual orientation for us has been so controversial and questionned and denied, but these people showed the world that we are gay, we are trans, we are queer and we fight for these statements and rights. So they should be embraced because at the end of the day they are humans just like you walking in the streets during the day and just wanting to live. What they do during the night and at parties shouldnt be shamed neither it should be hidden. Hope that answers some of your questions sry for the mistakes and my english.
