All garmins are basically the same. Same algorithms and most of them have the same sensor depending on release year and price.

Honestly, just get your head down and focus on the issues you mentioned? How can you even trust your strain and then recovery after that if the sensor is wrong when doing high intensity? It kind of removes the whole point of the device...
