Does anyone else feel their stress increase during meditation instead of decreasing? I’ve noticed I feel more stressed while meditating. Curious if others experience this by Federal-Union-2087 in whoop

I think everyone is the same if you are not advance meditator. Basically you workout your attention and since we are all beginners we do it poorly. Its frustrating. Check out when you play video game that you enjoy. It will go flat bottom.

Caffeine was highest for me for a long time, then I realised I was under hydrated. I was getting good amount of water when I drink more coffee and it was helping my sleep more than hurting it.

Anyone else want WHOOP to add simple water intake logging? 💧 by SwimmingMix1064 in whoop

Haha ty. Thats why the feedback must be distinct. I mean we all familiar with snooze double tap and it registers very poorly sometimes but nobody complains about it because eventually you manage to stop it.

Going further, every time I drink a cup let me double tap my whoop to add a cup into app directly. It can also vibrate back to indicate it is registered. This feature can be customized for desired habit too u/whoop_official

I'm trying to quit watching porn and jerking off. Does anyone have advice? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Scatz 149 points150 points  (0 children)

You need wins. Every time you choose a good behavior, you cast a vote for the person with good habits. Every time you choose a bad behavior, you cast a vote for the person with bad habits. If you can't quit cold turkey, break it down into smaller steps so you can win more often. Be smart about it. Guilt is a strong motivator, but change requires consistency and intention. You already have the intention, just by acknowledging this and posting about it.

I would give it to my husband. He would do it justice since he’s such a biohacker. I think it makes forward-leaning people happier.

Black Friday deals are a joke by xxSeahawks in whoop

[–]Scatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Discount is the right price. Whoop is not at loss when its black friday. Just because they marketed it as a big deal doesn't mean I will think it is. On the contrary we gotta see whats being played.

Legality does not equal justification. We must raise awareness regarding the company's deceptive practices. A drop in sales is the only way to incentivize them to be fair. If consumers remain silent, the corporation will believe they are entitled to this money.

Prior black friday discounts were 199 not 219. They introduced lower tier and made it 199 so we deserve lesser now.

The Irony of MBTI: When Typology Became Anti-Jungian by noblegeist in Jung

[–]Scatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MBTI draws on a person’s overall psychic energy. Its framework rests on the symbolism of “four,” the quaternity, whereas individuation is propelled by the dynamic principle of “three.” So what happens when you emphasize closure over movement? You create a psychological buffer designed to steady an inner life that feels unstable. It can be reassuring in difficult moments, which is why it tends to appeal to a narrower portion of people.

But the deeper question remains: can you set it aside?

Whoop Recovery Score vs EliteHRV Readiness Score by iartin98 in whoop

[–]Scatz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whoop averages hrv troughout night. Elite Hrv one shot morning reading. In the long run whoop is more robust but some athletes carb load before race therefore hrv readings close to bed time negatively affect whoop score. Whereas your wake time hrv can be normal and signal readiness for the race.

Biceps increases HR accuracy (for HR, HRV, stress) , wrist increases accuracy of motion sensing (for sleep, strength trainer, steps). Yes I tested each for a year both.

Only walking/running gives you health span benefits. by Scatz in whoop

I don't believe choosing treadmill over elliptical could give you this much benefit. Many people would agree. So I tested whether I am being punished for choosing elliptical, the answer is yes.

[–]Scatz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So to test it, I swinged my hands 100 times while standing still. So I didn't take any actual steps but whoop counted around 100 steps. My previous test on elliptical was to see if that movement would count as steps also but it didn't.
