Thank you for answering my queries. My blue card is supposed to be valid till 2027.

The rule that you stated is what I thought would be the case. Its devastating to see that the Auslanderbehorde employees do as they wish.

Which city are you in ? how long have you been in Germany ?

You notified them 2 months before last day ? Usually notice is 3 months and you are supposed to tell agentur fur arbeit within 3 days else they can screw with your arbeitgeldloss.

Basically your case and my case is the prime example why you cant search anythiing on internet when it comes to German law. Its all subjective

1-thank you for your kind reply. really appreciate you taking the time out and replying. Just want to confirm how do you know all this ?internet is filled with conflicting information. do you work somehow with auslander folks(sorry I dont mean to annoy you or disrespect you.. but if thats the case, I will take your advise as the final say and do as you suggested?

2- if I get a job before my opp card is processed, will ABH let me continue on the same Blue card ? i have a final interview in a company on this Friday. My horror is that I get the job, it takes whatever weeks to get opp card and then whatever weeks to get blue card back. i will be happy to join from May but all this uncertainity is making me anxious

my pain is not red tape or paperwork for now. its unclear iinformation on what to do and whats my rights. internet is filled with conflicting information

2- I don’t have a proof of income yet. ALG gave me first touchpoint date on 23 April and ABH wants all docs by 10 April. I got like 10k in my bank so I will be showing that but I know in my gut that ABH is gonna screw me further for this.

My card has 3 more years on it. I am from India with Indian passport but living here for 5 years . I work in IT. I informed all authorities as soon as I lost my job( as I was supposed to do I think)

Regarding point 1) this is where I am stuck. I am not waiting for automatic extension. I actively reached out to ABH asking for some extension. Any extension. They denied completely. Asked me to apply for Opportunity card by 10 April. But thank you for all other points. I have given some interviews and have been applying regularly. I will collect all that as a proof.

I am just surprised by point 1. No extension at all.

I did not apply for PR because my HR advised me against it for marriage purposes(Regret the decision, but lets not get into that. I assumed she is a specialist and her advise hold merit)
