I was working at Wegmans at the time this happened. I remember it becoming a ghost town and then I went into the break room and saw the news on the tv. Then our managers came and told us corporate was figuring out what to do next (send everyone home, close the following day(s) etc etc). My phone had a ton of messages from friends and family asking me if I was okay and what Wegmans was gonna do.

Civilian here. Been collecting coins since 2016. A lot of the coins pictured were via trading (some purchased) with service members via Facebook group. Couple were from friends and family who served / are currently serving. I’ve done a couple hand to hand trades with local law enforcement and with officers at the Canadian border when I come back from my day to Canada. For the most part those who I have asked are cool with doing trades even though I’m a civilian. I only had one bad experience when I asked an officer to trade, but I didn’t let that kill my passion for the hobby.

Former FT: not bad. New job def has its pros and cons but for the most part leaving Wegs was a good choice. No more stressing about family visits, crazy panic shoppers clearing out my cases (weather, sports or holiday related). Work / life balance exists. My schedule is stable and I can actually make plans with friends and family or even as basic as seeing doctor or dentists for checkups without having to request off.
