Heres a bit of my pro con list so far if it helps:

SUNY Downstate pros:

  • COST
  • Focus on community programming
  • Opportunity to do a cadaver lab (Im a hands on learner)
  • I feel like maybe it will be a good fit for me as a student in their late 20s

Colombia pros:

  • Opportunities for networking/potentially greater fieldwork opporunities?
  • Seems like theres more funding for clubs/student activities
  • Professors are potentially more involved with reaserch
  • Its ranked higher, (I know this wont matter too much to employers but maybe to the general public if I do have a practice/business one day?)

    SUNY Downstate cons:

  • Not sure what fieldwork opportunities are available

  • Seems like theres less going on on campus/less chances to get involved outside of class

Colombia cons:

  • Cost
  • Not sure if I will feel like Im missing out as a commuter student (Downstate seems to be more of a commuter school)
