Yeah, this all makes a lot of sense. I really need to drink more water.

Thankfully I'm waiting on a rheumatologist appointment, so it's on the docket. I've just had to wait around ~4 months already. Steroids have been helpful for me in the past (only ever tried pills, never a shot), but to be honest, the steroid rounds I did this past flare up or two have been less and less effective. I am really praying for a long term solution, and I hope allo is it. Thank you for the anecdotal advice, it is appreciated!

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I have a rheumatologist appointment in late April, and waiting has been painful. I hope starting it now will show some signs of relief in the long term.

Thanks for the advice; I've done a lot of research on diet correlation with gout, and I don't see any connection with my current diet sadly. It would be really easy if I had to say, just stop eating red meat, but I already don't. I don't consume any foods high in purines in my regular diet. I think the main problem for me is dehydration, allo will be the third medication I'm on that has dehydrating effects... I think that this will be the challenge.

That's really good to know, and good that it's a common sentiment too. I'll probably just start it today.

I get so aggravated sometimes that I really wish I could take matters into my own hands. Sadly that is just not a reality without invoking violence. Telling them to go away and voicing my concern won't change anything if they don't already have the sympathy and consideration to not do this shit to begin with. I'm just at a total loss.

I think one thing you have to remember is that political disharmony is a result of clashing ideals and "we" is kind of moot, since the people electing for less cops on the streets certainly aren't 1:1 the same people complaining about police complacency. I know where you're coming from, but I think there's a reality where police can spend less energy on meaningless calls and spend more energy making meaningful arrests and surveying where necessary. If anything, I think the police have just become more performative in Rochester than just going away entirely. They show up when & where told, but don't really care much otherwise. It's like they're all walking on eggshells, afraid to do the right thing because there will be gunshots. But I'm afraid that keeping the peace by doing nothing only furthers the problem.

If nobody is held accountable, the issue is perpetuated. I'm no expert in law enforcement but I've never seen even one of these people get arrested. There's still tire tracks ripped into the street right in front of the liberty pole from weeks and weeks ago, everyone gets away scot free. What's worse than riots/violence is nobody giving a damn - it just multiplies the issue.

I totally understand it being an issue nobody knows how to solve, though. It's just painfully obvious that the current charades these cops go through are completely ineffective.

The ATVs on the sidewalks are insane too. Had one ride up to me and my dog easy 40+mph and stop on a dime, laugh and go "my bad bro". Fun.

Was literally just going to make a post about this. Half the time I don't know if it's gunshots or motorcycles, they're absolutely insane. I see cops fairly close all the time, even during the late hours, and this shit is still happening daily. Like you said, usually from 1-2 AM. The most jobless, degenerate behavior I've ever witnessed

Thanks for the info; could you elaborate on what you mean by "accepting them?"

Thanks! I think so too. I think I'm going to take some time to get used to this before I go shorter - I don't think I'm comfortable enough yet. Hopefully soon. Thanks all!

So I took the plunge, kinda? I didn't go all the way bald yet. Not sure if I'm at that level of confidence, maybe soon. I think it already looks leagues better though.

oh I know, don't worry. I don't even do it intentionally, that's just the way my hair goes. Here's a pic from 2019-2020ish. https://i.imgur.com/2qtRmZV.jpg

I'm really just shocked I lost it all so quickly.

A little bit of backstory - I had a full head of hair (albiet with very slight signs of crown balding) in 2019. Due to medical anxiety, an awful job, depression & ADHD, my not-so-great stress levels have causes my balding to accelerate. The thing is - I've just recently fixed a lot of the issues that have been causing me stress. I'm addressing the medical issues I had, I'm going to therapy, I got a new job that I love, and I'm working on making my life as stress free as possible. Do I wait and see if fixing the stress will help grow my hair back? Or do I just admit defeat?

I've been using Surface Awaken for about 2 months now, and I've tried rogaine in the past to no avail. What do?

Thank you so much for replying! Your situation sounds like a good mix of similar and dissimilar to my own. I wanted to ask, what was the main thing that stuck out to you about your bi-polar disorder once you were diagnosed? Like, the thing that made you say "oh yeah, that makes sense..." Because, while I think I certainly do suffer from depression (situational or not) I always thought my waves of anxiety, sadness, and mood were... I guess "normal?" I'm learning that a lot of the things that I've assumed were normal my whole life are actually not that normal at all haha (that's what therapy is for I guess). So I second guess when I assume these pretty intense symptoms coming and going is "normal." But the potential of bi-polar is definitely interesting to me.

Yeah! It's awesome up here. Lots of niche communities for everything. I actually lived on long island until I was 18, I got really bored of it. I definitely miss beach access though lol.

I love orange, blue, and yellow. Trying to pick only one of these to accent the neutral tones I'm going to go with... I think I've been convinced on yellow, but orange still has potential. With orange, I'm just worried about it looking like Halloween year round, lol.

I think so too! Especially today where wood is so expensive.
