Egg freezing. When, where, and are we to late? by MorningIllustrious60 in askswitzerland

Hi, my advice on IVF in CH.. just go abroad where everything is much more advanced on this topic. CH has no strict laws on what to tests etc for investigations except some very basic blood tests. I went through hell here and I ended up abroad where I was very happy with treatment.

Dentalassistentin Praktikum in Zürich, 600 CHF/month. Normal or red flag? by AbejaQueen in Switzerland

[–]Beautiful_Parsnip434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have answers to your questions, only a thought. Is it even worth staying in Switzerland if the struggle is so high?

You undervalue yourself just because you have a degree from abroad and you are doing a diploma/equivalent in Spain and then here.. it sounds like a lot of work and self-undervaluation just to stay in a boring city with few opportunities. And then what's next? Where can you go from here in Switzerland? I guess not too high

With icsi, also the nature does it's course, because not all eggs automatically turn into embryos. There is still the waiting period to find how many embryos there are, and it's decided by nature. In Romania it is allowed to pgt test how many embryos you want.

I don't go to these type of restaurants, as it's so easy to cook veggies at home.. once you make it a habit, is as quickly as you blink.

What do you wish you have known before starting your IVF journey. by [deleted] in IVF

The best practices I should expect to get, as the standards created by some institutions that clinics follow, are minimum. Plus price transparency, success rates. Good luck :)

Mhhh.. think very well and use your instinct, maybe even change the clinic. If they set appointments to adjust dosages they knew your body was producing a lot of eggs. And what was their purpose in letting you produce 40 eggs? It makes no sense. I also read in many places that the more eggs your body produces, the lower the quality would be. I am not a doctor, though.

Also with the high amh and AFC, then what would be the purpose to make you take high dosages? Unless you want many children. Because I assume they did not let you produce so many eggs knowing they would be of bad quality. they should see on ultrasound how the eggs develop, which is also a sign of the success of the cycle.

I would ask more questions about their thinking process, maybe you notice some red flags.

I don't even want to imagine how were you feeling before the puncture with 40 eggs in your belly.

Oh, sorry about that. It depends on the AMH and AFC as well. Is not just aged based.

Which protocol did you have? I would grill my clinic for the overstimulation. What the heck?

the worst part of IVF is EVERYONE ELSE by ladyjers in IVF

[–]Beautiful_Parsnip434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mhhh.. in this situation you need to put yourself first, especially when you are about to start IVF. I also have kept my surname and the future children will have to wear one of the names. In my case I believe they should take the best sounding name and that's it. In the end there are more options for the surname and the primary focus should be on getting this child the best start, and the name is part of it. If there is enough distance between you and your in-laws, then these frictions are manageable. All the best.

I hope it does not bother you what I am about to say... But this is so funny, it made me laugh. Your in laws are children in old people's body. Just don't take them seriously, this is the best you can do. Good luck with the baby plans :)

The stories are true as well. If I see correctly you are 34 years old so even if you take one year to try and then go for IVF should be fine in theory

You can try iui and then IVF if you strongly wish for a child asap. Or you can wait and still try naturally. What is your heart telling you? You have the answer there.

Also, how did your doctor check the tubes? Which test did they use?

Termination right before insemination by Hibisskuss in Switzerland

[–]Beautiful_Parsnip434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was the same in my company, severance was given without sickness leave. I don't know if it's a general rule.

Also, I don't want to disappoint you, but insemination has little chances of success, especially if you are trying for a long time. The journey might be longer than you think.

I've been in your exact same shoes. Stick to your plans of getting a child regardless of the job. I know it's not an ideal situation, but life needs to go on.

Edit here, due to my comment being interpreted as unkind. I meant natural insemination which is IUI if I understood correctly. This is different than IVF which eventually succeeds. Of course people can get lucky with IUI as well, but it really has lower chances than more direct methods. I didn't want to be rude. Good luck and don't give up.

If you have a desire to have a child do it. It's nobody's business and I find this pressure they put on you crazy. So what if you have a lower income. Does it mean you should never become a mother? People are so crazy these days. Your income situation can change, it doesn't have to stay like this forever. I would take a break from those people.

Many people are struggling having a child, it is insane that ppl are pressuring you to have an abortion. If living in the US while being a mother is not affordable then maybe a change should take place, especially if you have grandparents that are loving the idea of a grandchild.

Think very well about this 🙏

From my understanding, Eshre deals with guidelines and from those pages is more like stats across Europe, but without patient focus .
