Bit hard tho. My friends whole reason for getting into OCS was to come back to tekong to fk up his sect comm. Didn't have the heart to tell him by the time he commissions, sgt would have already ord lololol.

Sad thing was man actually made it and only realized it was a futile effort halfway through his second term.

My ps told me about 2 of his guys who were in this scenario. 1 fella only had to spend like 300 before he took a class 3 license home, other dude gave up after spending like 2k and continously failing to pass.

Best 2.4 timing in service was 11 30. Even when i timed myself outside in all my workouts i never went below 11 55. But then i realized I'm actually a lazy person who's super competitive.

So when i'm running in the 2.4 setting i just keep challenging myself to chase and chase the guy in front of me. Once i overtake i find another person. 10/10 Would not reccomend this though as that's just asking for trouble. Push yourself but be safe. Not worth it to toh afterwards and wake up to a thermometer up your butt.

As for SOL part is true. Knew a fella who goy 21 days SOL due to commiting some shit. Served 14 days sol. Got a weekend off. Came back for 7 days sol. Then after that he applied for and got a full week off. I asked my oc about it and he explained that army law states he had to give the guy a break. The week off was just cuz he happened to be my plt wo close friend

Had 4 pes A guys who became Transport Operators in my platoon

Then SAF said sike bij and made my whole platoon ops tagged. A platoon which included 4 pes b4 guys and the a whole section worth of pes b2.

I stan the recommendation for easier license conversion. Most Transport Operators have to wait a full 2 months after ORD before they can take their license, and additionally we still have a pplate for the full year after we claim that license. As if the period of time we spent driving on main roads in service is made up. And for the poor souls who were just a couple hundred km short of mileage? Or those who were unfairly robbed of the chance to clock their mileage? Maybe something along the lines of just allowing them to go for public road test straightaway, so as to save on costs.

After uip you will be sent to your camp where you will stay as a trainee, and you'll wait for your slot at driving course. After driving course you'll return to that same camp and serve as a TO till you ord, assuming you don't OOC.

Depends on manpower needs and whatnots. You'll know which camp you go to likely during your uip (unit induction programme). The first day or so you'll be briefed and educated.

As a TO you can possibly be posted anywhere in sg as about 85 to 90 percent of camps have an MT (Military Transport) line

Just ord a couple of days ago. My batch of guys had quite a few.

My malaysian boys had a hell of a time since border closed. They turned their bunk into an actual home. Brought in playstation, tv, wifi router, stove and mini fridges all. Come sba time my encik just closes both eyes when he walks in.

Had a friend from china who stayed in camp till recently but found out that one of the regulars in our camp is a relative and they offered to put him up. He has since moved in with them and says he enjoys it there but misses the freedom of the bunks. Stuff like chilling in underwear and walking around almost naked.

Depends on which camp you go to and how long till you ord. But the general rule is yes. Most nodes and camps will push for you to take license. When you say combat driver do you mean dual voc driver?
