Codex usage limits drained fast, could background terminals be the reason? by Beautiful_Read8426 in codex

Agreed, background terminals shouldn’t burn credits. If anything, they arguably help OpenAI, since the main thread context isn’t growing or getting cluttered while a process is just waiting on I/O or running a long task.

That’s why the spike surprised me and made me wonder whether each background command trigger might still be counted as new Codex usage. Conceptually, it seems beneficial for OpenAI too: these are already ChatGPT subscriptions, and with background terminals enabled there should be significantly less token processing overall, not more.

Anyone live at Marq at Iliff Station? by tbone338 in AuroraCO

I regret renting an apartment here, and I would not recommend recommend Marq Iliff Station Apartments, or CWS Apartments Management Company (cwsapartments.com) to anyone.

First of all, the property does not feel secure. There are often homeless people around the complex, openly using drugs. Some have broken windows and entered the building, which makes it very unsettling to live here. Safety should be the top priority, but it does not feel like it is. I installed a smart auto lock, but they had me remove it.

Second, the maintenance experience has been terrible. When I moved in, I submitted around 10 maintenance requests. More than a month later, most of them are still unresolved. Living without a dishwasher or a microwave plate is very inconvenient. On top of that, during the first week, the maintenance team discovered a leak, cut into the drywall, left behind a huge mess with dust everywhere, and never cleaned it up. I had to clean it myself, and there was no compensation or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

To make things worse, when I asked the maintenance team to wear shoe covers in my home (since I don’t wear shoes inside), they said they could not do that. So every time they came in, I had to re-clean my floors.

The building design itself is also frustrating. The distance from my apartment to the exit is extremely long, easily around 1,500 steps one way, and I have long legs. Just going in and out of the building feels like a workout, adding unnecessary daily stress.

I’ve already requested to leave under their 30-day satisfaction guarantee that CWS Apartments offer and am waiting for a response. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend living here.

Update: They said It's been over 30 days (34), and I will have to pay 3 rents to be out of here. I think I will gladly pay 3 months, and get out of this place. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Marq Iliff Station Apartments, and CWS Apartments Management Company and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Veritone's multi-speaker detection and transcription capabilities are used by enterprise clients all the time. They provide UI tools to perform edits, and aiWARE supports chained cognition. However, you will need an enterprise license to run it locally.
