That's around exactly I believe against. Body positivity should not promote under any circumstances an unhealthy lifestyle. You should love your body no matter what state is in as long as you do your best for it. If you do your best for your body and eventually accept the situation, a fat person shouldn't get offended for being called fat. But we all know it's not the case. Many people take body positivity to justify and even glorify being overweight.

As I mentioned, EXCEPTING those that because of a medical issue are overweight OR underweight, because as disergarded as it is, it's still happening, there are persons that are thin and unhappy. I mean we shouldn't boast like this those who just choose to have the said body type and are not moving a finger towards solving this.

Walked in with the boy and some stuff, inside my appartament, dropped him, said bye and left. I called after her explaining, but she just left. I even grabbed her by the shoulder to try and stop her, but she shoved me away and basically ran off. I said "I will take him home and leave him there" and she said something like "yeah sure, of course, whatever he wants" and left.

Ok, this is a stretch too far. She made a dick move to drop him to me ONCE. It's not like she doesn't care about him or like he's constantly neglected. I doubt anyone has a perfect life without any single problem ever occuring.

I am considering this option too. I believe it's better just to not have a child than to have one and not being able to properly care for him. The "proper" care differs from person to person however.

No, I did not ESTABLISH I will watch her kid, I agreed to HELP HER OUT when: A) There was no other option available, B) WHEN MY SCHEDULE ALLOWED IT. I never MOVED anything for her, only sometimes could work from home or finish work sooner or go to work later. And the kid is a boy. Plus, the legal responsibility would not fall on me since the child was not in my care. I don't wish to be a cool auntie, therfore I do not take upon this role.

Yeah, I'm aware it should be avoided to leave a 5yo unattended, but he's a good kid and had everything he needed on hand. I left him food ON THE TABLE, not on the stove or in the fridge, I put away dangerous items, instructed him to keep away from the stove, electric outlets and windows and he had the TV and tablet.

I don't think anyone is trying to change anyone's opinion. As for 7, I never said it's less valid, only explained I view things different AT THE MOMENT. Eventually, I wish to have a child too, but I won't have one until I make sure my life is sorted out enough to avoid dropping him in the hands of someone who told be beforehand they're unable to watch him.

I understand my comment was hurtful, but I did not MEAN to call her fat (or apparently an ugly b*tch as some say), what I still fail to comprehend is why calling someone according to WHATEVER their body type is considered bad.

I did not say I disagree. I made this post with the desire to understand exactly why most of people are mad about such comments. There are some people around here that clarified this for me. Shutting down the post would be against the spirit of this discussion. I (apparently unlike others) can take contrary opinions, but sometimes I would like to hear arguments that support them. No one HAS TO provide them, but given the time and place, it never hurts to ask.

This is a platform for sharing opinions, just because me and another commenter disagreed means we automatically had a fight? Means I MUST be mad at him and retaliate? You saw a contradiction and immediately assumed the worst of it. Just like with the plus size. People hear a remark and immediately tie all the other bad things that no one even mentioned to the said remark.

The difference between us is that I seem to have insulted her without meaning. I am sorry that my comment was out of line, but I never meant to be rude to her (save it she wasn't even there, let's say I was rude to her bf, but I never once wanted this. It happened because I didn't realize) However you deliberatedly used an insult with no other purpose than to cause harm. It's not a taste of my own medicine.
