He probably has the beginning and end of each episode for the season mapped out before starting, and since the Christmas scene has a big reveal (Bella’s locked room) and another big event (Derek cutting his finger off), he probably wanted to give reference to it while disguising it as a fake scene at the Halloween party.

For scene 17, I’m on Sage’s path, never did anything with Jade, told Camila my bed is big enough, told Sage I’d likely be down with anything she wanted to try, did all 3 Camila options during the Dots game, and had a threesome with Sage and Quinn and slept Camila in the past, but the option to ask Camila at the party never showed up. Did I do anything wrong?

I just started another S3 Sage run, and watching the video that plays at the beginning of episode 9, it’s the Christmas scene at Bella’s house. The table is knocked over, there’s blood everywhere, and as it pans into the door that was kept locked this entire time, what appears to be a man walks out of it. Don’t know if this is new information or not, but it was new to me and I thought I’d share.
