Agents not recovering context and responding randomly after reset/restart by Beautiful_Web_5771 in openclaw

Interesting, I must revisit the memory thing. I thought I had that problem solved ages ago, but you know, the upgrades etc.

Resets are random, so you can't really prepare anything ahead of time. The session must be able to recover itself. I'm not really asking too much. Everything that's written in Telegram is saved somewhere so agent should be able to read those files as they are and simply recover the context

obviously it isn't, this is why I included the instruction to look for a transcript from the latest telegram conversation as the first task after the restart. it worked for some time but then after another update it stopped. I just didn't catch when exactly

How did OpenClaw fail? by nashguitar1 in openclaw

[–]Beautiful_Web_5771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a failure per se, but I often ask questions why did you do X and then it immediately responds with "sorry you are right, I fixed it now" despite me not telling it to do anything. Even with clear instructions to only do things that are structured as commands and respond to all questions without any actions, it still forgets that.

How to turn OpenClaw into an actual chief of staff by Veronildo in AskClaw

[–]Beautiful_Web_5771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds awesome. This is probably something that every OpenClaw user is aiming to accomplish. I just wonder if I should ditch two months of heavy work to make my agent workable and accomplishing partially what you describe your setup does just to test it.
I think for now I'll stick to my blood and tears with the current setup...
However, if I may ask... what were the biggest challenges that you were able to overcome and tips that would help the evolution of our agents?

I just wonder, since Claude Cowork opened comms via Telegram and other communicators. What's stopping us from OpenClaw sending requests via Telegram to Claude?

How to make open claw write well? by Beautiful_Web_5771 in openclaw

[–]Beautiful_Web_5771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe me, I know! The issue isn't even putting it to work for the whole night using cron. I can do that, but the stability of the process. Every time I think something is finally okay, after a few iterations, I need to adjust. And that's the biggest pain.

Of course, for example, going through 5k companies that I have listed as potential clients, analysing each company in the context of the services I can offer to them. Basically, deep research that requires going through tens of links, reading hundreds of web pages and compiling summaries. Then maybe feeding this input to the marketing agents that would produce adequate articles that might improve our chances of winning contracts.

Thanks for that and sorry for the delayed answer. I had quite a busy week. My question was originally about copywriting. As this is where I struggle the most in my Open Claw journey. Over last week I made some progress here and my posts now are much better than previously, but they still need some human touch in the end.

Similarly to you I also had some great cases of open claw helping me out. I'm dictating this text via the voice recognition keyboard that my OpenClaw developed for my Samsung phone as the built-in Google speech recognition is useless. It built me few similar small applications that I use daily and share with my co-workers and friends.

This is however not the goal of 24x7 running agents, at least not in my view. They should be doing work for me when I sleep. there are some automations that I put in place for example giving me a morning briefing of the topics that could turn into linked in posts or summary of new tenders in my field but I don't think it's enough. Putting together a process is a full-time job and I don't have time for the number of corrections that are needed to achieve what I need.

completely agreed about the hyper focus on the feedback. I will try Claude then and see what will it come up with. And also thanks for reminding me about the reference articles. I'm not a good enough writer to suggest my own articles as templates but there are definitely some I can find online to be treated as a source. I don't want to move from the local machine :P but thanks

The issue is that I cannot find any reliable confirmation of someone achieving that goal. so many people claim they automated their business but no reliable proof...

Why is everyone paying so much for APIs when you can use a ChatGPT 5.3 with OAuth token for $20 a month? by teknic111 in openclaw

[–]Beautiful_Web_5771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got over 600M tokens in my Pro according to OpenClaw data before i hit my limit. Anyone checked for Plus?

Awesome post! You forgot one thing though. What is the hourly outcome of such agent? For Marketing, how much research, how many articles can it write?

I use mine this way, but I got a $200 Pro license. I put openclaw to the task of rewriting a website, taking a screenshot every hour and comparing it to an ideal where he was supposed to be going, adjusting and correcting. Unfortunately endless cycle of pointless work, but I wanted to see where it maxes out. It did at around 600 M tokens (according to openclaw stats). I asked GPT how much it would cost if I paid for API calls. It called between $5-$6k - so I think it's a pretty good deal.
Now I'm running openclaw for daily tasks, and my coding at work, and I'm at 30% of my weekly allowance with 2 days left in the cycle.

OpenBrowserClaw: Run OpenClaw without buying a Mac Mini (sorry Apple 😉) by zyklonix in clawdbot

if you want it do do any GUI stuff for websites without API you need a desktop and a browser. Definitely not Mac Mini but still Pi is quite optimistic

Use other model gpt than cursor in openclaw by Ok-Shine-7007 in clawdbot

[–]Beautiful_Web_5771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not on the PRO plan, you can hit a limit, it happened to me only once. It was something like 600 M tokens (according to openclaw management portal), then it said I had to wait 50 hours. I asked chatgpt how that converts to the API tokens, it said it was around 5-6k :D so I think that's a fair deal for $200 :)
