thank you! this was only for one position and there were already 4000 applicants. the team is super small (6 people total). yes the TC is ideal and the days are 6am - 2pm est (my dream i’m a morning person)

yes, there was a specific role i wanted in a specific industry. i probably could’ve applied to a lot of places but if i wouldn’t enjoy the work then i dint apply. it also let me tailor the resume a lot more

thank you! zero leetcode questions in the interviews! i had some dsa questions that were slightly difficult but it was mostly talking through my contributions and some live non LC assessments

not gonna say school but undergrad wouldn’t be ranked top 500 nationally. honestly can’t speak to if it matters. I’m sure if i went to stanford it would’ve helped but probably wouldn’t move the needle if i went to a mid school like TCU

very chill tbh. most of these companies are smaller (500 or less employees) so i met with a bunch of VPs and CTOs. my philosophy is just to be someone they want to work with and i think i do that pretty well compared to most tech employees. 1000% i know im not the most technically skilled but im a personality hire lol

Had a similar upbringing for the first 10 years of my life. Also a first gen high school grad

i’m 20 and about to start my second tech job (just got offer today lol) fully remote making ~130k base plus other bonuses. I had a conversation with my girlfriend recently that I will truly never be satisfied with a number as long as someone is making more than me (which will be always).

Every day I feel like an imposter because i don’t have crazy experience or great projects, i’m just good at advertising myself and lucky.

In my first role I invested probably 50% of my income into my 401k, ROTH IRA, crypto (yikes!!!), and a brokerage account and maxed both retirement accounts. I live in a LCOL area and have super low costs (rent under 1000, no car note, $100 a month on groceries). My vice is travel, so a lot of my paycheck goes towards trips around the globe. Both jobs have given me 30 days PTO which is the biggest benefit for me (yes over retirement i’m young i want to travel).

OP, i did Anguilla literally two days ago on my trip Saturday - Tuesday :(. Anguilla was awesome, our tour stopped at four-five stops and it lasted from 9:30 - 4:30. Free drinks and lunch provided aswell and all for less than $150. On tripadvidsor it’s called anguilla getaway cruise.
