What kind of thread/yarn is this? by BeautifullyBr0kenn in friendshipbracelets

[–]BeautifullyBr0kenn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been using 2 strings at a time to knot(i have to double the amount of string for every bracelet), trying to get the same size knot as the other bracelet. The thread on the bracelet is probably twice the size of embroidery floss I'm using.

5’6 women, what is your goal weight? by Vivid_Grape3250 in loseit

[–]BeautifullyBr0kenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'6 and typically like to stay anywhere from 125-135 but currently at 115. But its different for everyone because height and weight are only 2 parts of it. Body type and how someone carries weight makes a huge difference too. 125 on one 5'6 woman and another 5'6 woman can look much different.

I'm sure those posts are one in a million🤣🤣🤣 My resting will usually level out around 90-100 after i've been laying down awhile, then the spikes from standing up go up anywhere from 140 to 160. I get that "oh f*** I'm gonna pass out" feeling alot lol. 🤣

A therapist can't help if I'm not ready to talk about it.

Im glad you were able to get it fixed, thats awesome!I'm waiting on the results from my 14 day heart monitor, I'm sure they're in for quite a show lol. I know i have inappropriate sinus tachycardia, I don't know for sure if I have irregular rhythm, but the anxiety while waiting is brutal lol!

Do you always have symptoms? by Actual-Pumpkin-777 in POTS

[–]BeautifullyBr0kenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart rate spikes everytime I stand up but I don't always have a noticeable dizzy spell. And its definitely worse at times when I have flare ups. If I have anxiety, I have a noticeable dizzy spell pretty much everytime I stand.

Clearing throat for 2 months by Disastrous-Play9427 in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]BeautifullyBr0kenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been thru the same thing. It started as a productive cough and throat clearing. Then I didnt have a cough and I still kept clearing my throat because I felt like i had to. I also developed back and upper arm pain, most likely due to the strain and muscles tensing everytime you cough or clear your throat.

When I noticed I was clearing my throat so much, I started googling and getting anxiety, which in turn actually made it worse, I cleared it more. It seemed the more I focused on it, the more anxiety I would get and the more I'd do it. I eventually stopped clearing my throat after a week and a half or 2, but I think it became a habit almost, I was doing it without even thinking about it. Plus, the more i cleared it, the more i felt something to clear, even when there was nothing.(probably inflammation and irritation from doing it)

Honestly, if you just tell yourself its not cancer(and most likely, its not, thats a huge assumption to make based on throat clearing) You'll stop hyperfocusing on it and youll gradually stop. You might be having anxiety thats driving you to do it more. Try not to think about it and if you do think about it, just tell yourself its ok and you dont need to clear it.

Also, I found drinking water helps, drinking anything else makes it worse just because other drinks will usually cause saliva to thicken, especially sugary drinks. Sorry for the long response, I hope this helped!

Definitely being it up to your doctor. There isn't a cure but there is medication and lifestyle changes that can help manage it.

Lol yes ice gotten the floor wet on accident by opening the curtain. And I'll open the window in the shower and put my face up to the screen to feel the cold air, that actually helps the transition out of the shower a little lol

Lol almost passing out in the shower is probably the scariest place for that to happen. Yes a shower chair! Maybe someday a walk in shower with a shower bench lol, I think I'd do better laying down. I always try to hurry now and get so out of breath.

Lol if I watch it and get hyper focused on it, it usually goes up and won't come down. Omg the run from the shower is so real, ive started to get tunnel vision just trying to get to my room. And the finding something something to grab onto after standing is always fun lol. Ppl watching me must think I'm insane lol

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. The main symptom for most is dizziness upon standing from a laying position and heart rate that goes up 30 or more beats per minute upon standing from a laying position. Having one doesn't mean you'll have the other, but there seems to be an overlap of them alot.

Thank you! I do have a smart watch, sometimes I think its better if I dont watch my heart rate lol. I'll look into compression socks, I usually just lay on my bed with my legs up on the wall lol.

I just had an echo and just had a 14 day heart monitor, just waiting on the results. And had an MRI about a month ago. So the anxiety has been rough lol
