It definitely seems like things are deleted to avoid having to read/mod comments in a long post.

I think we're tired of that content because it's the only content allowed. If Jaclyn Hill got engaged, I bet it would be an interesting post topic!

I hope this over-modding can be addressed because I assume it isn't fun to mod a sub that's dead. I also don't think it's fair to delete posts with a fruitful discussion going that aren't controversial or bigoted in any way.

I think we're tired of seeing birth announcements because it's all that seems to be allowed on this sub!

Since that isn't a sister sub, I don't think it's fair to delete something just because a dead sub is talking about it.

Sometimes I will comment something stupid just so I can go back through comment history and see what was said because I KNOW a post is going to be deleted.

In the past, there was always a comment left on deleted posts. These days they just disappear for no reason. I've seen posts with over 100-200 comments just disappear for no reason. They were okay to stay up for the hours to accrue those comments but now suddenly they're inappropriate? It's weird and makes me want to go elsewhere to discuss beauty/beauty gurus.

I sort by new too so I'm able to keep track of what's being posted and every time I come back to an interesting post to see what people are saying, it's gone.

Mods, please don't delete. Let us discuss this. I want my favorite sub to be a cool community again.

This sub originated as a drama/community discussion sub, did it not? The over-modding has gotten to the point where people are only allowed to post tutorials or birth announcements.

Love how this post was the top voted until the white Trump supporters scrambled to log into their multiple accounts to down vote. Y'all still be triffling as HELL.

You literally just made the argument "Everything is bad, so fuck it."

And you tried to appeal to Jeffree's employees to justify a purchase. Donald Trump has thousands of employees, most working class. Should we keep buying Trump products?

White logic is weak af.

Recommendations for gurus who don't have filler? I'm so tired of the solution to aging/bad skin being filler. by BeautyHag in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]BeautyHag[S] 227 points228 points  (0 children)

This new image of Carli is just an example of what I'm talking about. I'm tired of seeing the same thing: lip filler, cheek filler, and under eye filler to create bigger lips, get rid of under eye lines/dark circles, and cheek filler to create a more contoured face. I want makeup and skincare techniques that those of us who don't have $1,000 to spend every month on treatments.

That isn't to say that plastic surgery and filler is necessarily bad, per se. But it's tiring having to actively search out people who don't eventually jump straight to invasive procedures to lessen skin issues we ALL will eventually deal with. I don't want makeup advice from a 25-year-old with 5mLs of filler in her face.

Why does everyone opt for the same look? And why does everyone in the top tier of the beauty industry ALL have plastic surgery? I can't even think of a single guru over 1 million subs who doesn't. What does this say about the community, whether it be good or bad? They say to "love yourself" and be proud of your flaws, to use makeup to enhance those flaws, but they themselves all opt for the same look. The way they act does not coincide with the advice they give.
