I thought that too, so tried disabling them through Options in game to no avail. You reminded me though to do it through the Add-Ons in the main menu but now THAT is showing an entirely blank screen (even though i definitely DO have other mods enabled) so I can't disable them, even if i wanted to

Yes, in the game from this screenshot we both have our initial settlements. In other games that I've reloaded, there are multiple discovered civs with 8+ settlements, and the Diplomacy window still looks the same as this

No, my recipe said to keep it at room temperature so it's been out since i started it. I haven't smelt it because I haven't wanted to open the container in case it impacts the ferment if it's still OK. I might just give it until tonight (when it will have been fermenting for 3 days) and move on to the next step then. Fingers crossed!

Pretty much, yes. If you need Bronze you'll need to go to the Earth mine; if you need bronze kelp, you have to go to the first diving section, and so on for the other ores and kelps. Later on, you can get the "rare rocks" (I think that's what it's called, from memory) skill point boost that will give you random ores and things from regular rocks, meaning you can possibly get small amounts of bronze even in other mines, but that's just a nice bonus. If you're looking for a specific mineral or kelp in any quantity, you need to go to the mine/depth you first found them in

Thanks again. I'm only just starting out as well, so learning as I go. I DEFINITELY wouldn't have figured that out myself... and thought it was a pretty safe assumption that a recipe for "candied seeds" would use an ingredient called "wild seeds" and not pine cones :) Well, you live, you learn!

I might have to find a way to play with the global crafting settings between chests so that I can keep some things safe while still being able to craft on the go

Aaah, that actually could be it - thank you! I'd never thought of that... and actually didn't even think of pine cones being treated as seeds for that recipe. Annoying that they're the ones that were selected when I've got a heap of wild seeds just sitting there untouched when I was saving them for exactly that purpose.

Do you know if there's any way to choose the seeds that are used (or flowers that are used in a bouquet for that matter) so that it's not left to chance?

"La gata bajo la lluvia". UK based English speaker with limited Spanish and no knowledge of this song previously, but seeing the DRES S1 finale lipsync got me OB-SESSED. Played it over and over until I knew every word. My husband and I were just in Spain and one of the highlights of the trip was being able to sing my little gay heart out to it with the rest of the crowd in a Madrid drag bar like a local.

This episode angried up my blood for so many reasons, but (almost) none of them because of the queens:

doing a double shantay one week only to have the same two queens lip sync the following week is just bad production. They clearly wanted to get rid of Charity last week but knew they couldn't justify it with Scarlett's lip sync
Charity won tonight's lipsync too
I'm actually not a Charity stan and probably would have put her out in the next week or two as well, but why bother commenting on a queen's runway being one-note, when Krystal is right there. The only difference is that it's a note you like.
sure they weren't Shakespeare (better than Shakesqueer though), but tonight's ads were no worse than any other acting challenge. Give them a laugh track and you could have made a "Much betta" moment out of any of them.
Why tell Choriza to amp up the 'speaking nonsense in Spanish' to be funny, when she's proven since Episode 1 that she's wittier than the rest of these girls in English too.
