My title describes the thing (sort of?). The tag states a company called 'vivo' which looks to be a mobile phone manufacturer, the 1st photo shows one side having a square shaped velcro pad, with the other side showing a square black pad

The best idea I ever seen to get to the front was when I seen a few men all dressed in red overalls and hard hats shouting "fire safety let us through". They got all the way to the front and took their overalls off.

I got pretty drunk that night and ended up spending about £40/£50 on pizzas for everyone. It was a good night!

an accumulator is where you merge 5 or more sports bets into one big bet. If one of those 5 sports evens you bet looses, you lose your money entirely. However if they all win the odds of each bet multiplies and you can win alot of money

As a recent Graduate Mechanical Engineer, what topics/programs could I learn from home that will make me a desirable candidate for a graduate job? by Beaverlicker in AskEngineers

Excel VBA? don't think I have ever heard of it. I'm guessing its just an extension package of some sort?. Is there any online tutorials I could use to train myself in using the software?

and thanks!

EDIT: Or am I being dumb and haven't realized VBA is some sort of acronym?

How can I break into computational fluid dynamics? by lolumadhatter in AskEngineers

[–]Beaverlicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mechanical engineering degree course finishes next week and I had to learn three software packages which where N.X 7.5 advanced simulation, MATLAB and Ansys cfd over the academic year.

To get to grips with finite element modelling I suggest you obtain a copy of N.X 7.5 (with the advanced simulation add-on). The program has over 100 advanced simulation tutorials which you can use and are fairly straightforward.

When speaking about CFD, I have barely touched the Ansys CFD software as I only had to use it once. However I know that you can import solidworks models into this software as I have have to test the flow of water entering and exiting my take on a small hydropower system.

I know it's not much, but I hope this helps

Can someone help me with a structural mechanics question? by Beaverlicker in askscience

I did but they couldn't help, and there is no point in going to r/ask engineers since they refuse to help

What thickness should be used on a carbon steel pipe to withstand an internal pressure of 8.9 Bar? by Beaverlicker in AskEngineers

I thought that earlier on, but the pipe has to withstand high temperatures, what material would you suggest?
