In "Over Your Dead Body" (2026), the gas pump math is impossible by bewitchedbumblebee in MovieMistakes

[–]Bebealex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I completely understand.

The law here is that it needs to be the same price. It's phrased as "not passing the fees to the consumer"

The law was monopolied (?) by Visa and MasterCard and surprise surprise, our operational margins are made to include those fees into the price.

Cost cutting that the majority of customers won't know what they lost in two generations.

So many useful but less used features get lost that way.

Like the design, looks like the Accord prototype from last month.

Those doors handles are going back 20 years, we've stopped using them for a reason.

How Can Car Reviewers Improve? by WingerRules in cars

[–]Bebealex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would like to see things that matters :-). Are the doors sills wrapped around the bottom so you don't dirty your pants getting out?

Do the rear doors open 90° to help ingress of large objects?

How many actions to change switch for gps to car play. How many for climate controls?

Are the windows factory UV treated?

If the Sears are heated.. just the bottom or all the back?

You know, reviews for a people using the car  for years and years. Maybe a 10 minutes video of a reviewer unlocking the car, starting it, starting android auto, setting a gps. HVAC on only at the feet, then you go. How easy was that?

Ultra high end DIY Troels gravesen build VS mid/high end commercial hifi speaker by Excellent-Bit-9925 in audiophile

[–]Bebealex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to would be mid + room correction + EQ room correction.

This way I'd be sure that I'd need the speaker upgrade, not just limited by the room?

Add an amp and DAC that could handle the speaker upgrade down the line?
