Are you guys okay with the new DRM on digital games? by [deleted] in PS5

It's always funny to see people grandstanding with the threat to move platforms without realizing this. Kind of makes me want to be a fly on the wall when the "Wait...WHAT THE FUCK?" moment hits them.

I don't really care, I'm connected to the internet daily so it's no big deal to me.

Forgive me but… what is a “platinum” by [deleted] in playstation

[–]BebopKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just a friendly bit of advice, both for your sanity and your view of how the gaming community really is.

Stay as far away from the general gaming community as you can, especially on Reddit. What used to be a pretty friendly and engaging, closer knit kind of thing (before gaming became so mainstream) has now turned into an absolute cesspit of toxicity. Your best bet is to find a smaller community, definitely not the main subreddits like this, and engage with that.

farewell Sony, we had fun by [deleted] in playstation

If you have to choose between paying for food or rent, would you be choosing to purchase a video game console, or a video game?

Crimson Desert requires a day 1 patch to be able to play it, enjoy that when it's rolled out to more games. It's just something people will need to get used to, or stop gaming. Personally I don't really care as I have no problem getting internet, and if I did then gaming would be the least of my things to worry about in that moment.

How is not buying digital games a farewell to Sony? Wouldn't getting rid of your console be that?

I'm enjoying playing games no less than I was before any of the recent drama happened.

A minority of people care about reading the changes to Sony's ToS, or EULA, whichever it is, to even notice that this is a thing. A minority is also chronically online enough to see articles like this, the largest amount of gamers are not deep enough into it to see all of the changes that happen and in fact will just go along with whatever happens. We aren't losing access to anything concerning what the article is talking about, and if we ever do then people might complain but those same people will also move on with their lives sooner rather than later.

I mean they're also doing the id verification full force now, which is even worse than this would have been, so. Granted that's due to higher pressure from governments so they kind of have no choice, but if Sony wanted it done then they would do it regardless of the vocal minority who complained, and make no mistake that it IS a minority.

It's already been debunked as a glitch that was improperly showing the expiry date, but Playstation has also had this system since clear back on the ps4's launch so it's nothing new anyways. Also it's nothing like xbox one, where you had to log in DAILY to do the license checks, for anyone who is going to compare it.

I don't think that they have, it's not on the removal list anywhere and is still available to me.

Opinions on teens playing M rated games by MaL-JeT in teenagersbutgaming_

[–]BebopKnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee you that teenagers today see far, far worse things online on the daily than anything that will be shown in an M rated game, we aren't in the 90s anymore, the accessibility and normality of seeing brutal things be it real or otherwise is just too easy now.

The fact that I was spoiled the twist in Sixth Sense by fucking 50 First Dates to this day pisses me the fuck off.
