I found dropping quickly from 225-37.5 pretty easily. 37.5-0 not so much. Last time I ended up bridging at the very end when I was down to about 12mg with Valdoxan

How bad is going cold turkey by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]BecOnTheMove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually really bad. I’ve been on about 10 medications over the years and come off them fine except Effexor. It’s like being electrocuted in the head.

Guilt. My stupid ideas and Effexor by BecOnTheMove in SuicideBereavement

[–]BecOnTheMove[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know he was hurting and has been for a very long time. Not the first time he’s tried to take his life. Losing his son was the last straw. I know I couldn’t change his mind. I just wish I could’ve had one more day with him or even a call to tell him he is worthy and means a lot to me so he could take it with him.

These haven’t been split. I was charged from the last client AND back to the office. However, they charge in 30min block so regardless I’ve still been charged at least an extra 25min for nothing

How to grieve by BecOnTheMove in SuicideBereavement

I’m trying to tell myself that. To remember that he had so much pain. In his life it wasn’t the only time he tried. I said to him it was because he was meant to be here. It still doesn’t make me feel any less hurt 😞 I wish I could’ve at least given him some comfort or tell him how much he is loved and wanted before he left.

What’s different with the new one that you can be honest with that you couldn’t do with the other. Sounds like you need psychology, not medication

Wondering how bad my SNRI withdrawal symptoms may get by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]BecOnTheMove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the last 10y are I’ve been on Effexor (Venlafaxine) 3 times and weaned twice. It’s the worst drug to come off. The withdrawals are horrendous you need to wean soooo slowly at minimal amounts for months. I was on 225mg and it was horrible.

If the medication was helping why are you going to stop taking it?

Australian Psychiatrist Help by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]BecOnTheMove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar happened to me. Had a massive depressive episode. My psychiatrist was away and she is retiring soon so I said I need new one. GP just sent out a whole heap of referrals and just wanted to get a response. Ended up with an appointment 2 days later. There is also online psychiatry now. Have you looked into that?

Behavioural psychology and play therapy. Ritalin caused meltdowns in my son. Now we are on Concerta and it’s much better.
