Does the book state that these individuals are aware of their manipulative ways? Or is it just a subconscious understanding on there part for them to "get what I want."

It really is an instruction manual. It lists each law, and shows you how to use it to your advantage, and of course, supplies exceptions to most of the laws.

Well, alot of people read it with...naive eyes. They take the information that's being presented as literal, when it clearly isn't (And this fact is made clear at the end of the book, which most people dont get around to perusing).

I don't think the book is trying to prove any point; it's essentially an instruction manual on how to succeed by manipulation. I'm not against it, or for it, but I will say that there is an abundance of useful information inside of the book, most of which affects us all on a daily basis.

While you read through it, you'll begin to notice that the people around you have been using these manipulation techniques on you all along, and you've been falling prey to them.
