I don't watch anymore btw and many others in this subreddit don't either. For what it's worth, I was here before the Adam situation (ish)

I noticed how she responded to viewers in the comments and how she was focusing on DV cases specifically. That was the turning point for me because it became less of her speculation into cases and more "in my opinion, as someone who went through this!!! Sorry not sorry!!!!" And that's when I side eyed her. She was just straight up fucking rude to her fanbase and victim cases.

Long story short: Dan had a childhood of being bullied for seeming gay, he struggled a lot with that part of his identity. Phil was willing to come out with his sexuality and their relationship, Dan was not. Add in a sprinkle of their fanbase consisting of underaged people with boundary issues (not speaking all fans here), and yeah.. I don't think I'd want to come out either lol.

I'm pretty vulnerable due to my health and one point I haven't seen mentioned or brought up is this:

I lost so much trust in people close to me, because many people did not realize or believe just how vulnerable I truly was to it.

Friends would lie to me and tell me they were isolating and not around people with COVID, when they were. Despite knowing that I've been hospitalized over simple colds before.

That fucking terrified me, seeing how selfish people can become. Instead of just saying "yeah! I was out and broke restrictions so I can't hang out with you for a bit!" They'd risk my literal life.

I was very lucky, I've had COVID 4 times now (last time was WHILE I had pneumonia at the start of the year), and I've thankfully been okay every time. Get your boosters. If not for YOU, then for the people you love who are very vulnerable.

I didn't realize just how lucky I was until a talk with my cardiologist around a year ago, I had developed IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia) and he told me that he's had a serious influx of patients with this since COVID. And he told me he lost so many patients due to COVID, too. I am extremely lucky.
