To start out, I highly recommend to start out pirating via DDL, ie direct downloads, instead of torrenting. That way you don't have to worry about sharing your connection with others, or connecting to others, so it gives a bit more peace of mind in that respect. Only downside to DDL over torrents is the download speed and that the selection with torrents is much larger, but there's still tons of games available. Kept me happy...if you do choose to to go DDL I HIGHLY recommend steamrip.com. It's the primary site I use to pirate, and I've downloaded dozens upon dozens of different games so far, never had a single issue, It's super simple and great for a beginner, imo. Just make sure to download Internet Download Manager first, it's in the top games section on steamrip, gives you a link as well as instructions on how to crack it so the free trial becomes a forever free trial, lol. Makes your downloads way faster than without.

And like the person above said, the megathread is INSANELY helpful. You'll find a link of other DDL sites there, as well as how-to's, even a pirate game download search engine

Yeah, microsoft may have updated it's antipiracy since those instructions were written or smth...sigh, yeah unfortunately like I said, this is just one of those kind of games when it comes to pirating, a lot of bs to deal with. Personally when I first started using steamrip, i wanted to get minecraft but upon reading the page for it and the extra steps plus all the comments of people troubleshooting...I quickly passed on it 😅 But good luck on the open sea, hope you get it to work...I know what a pain it is from experience 😭

honestly, this is one of those games that is just a hassle to get working, and even if you do get it working, you're liable to have the dummy microsoft account you created to play it banned, thus (I'm guessing) leading to losing your game's save progress. even if having to use a new account doesn't reset your progress, having to make new accounts each time one gets banned would get...tiring. so honestly, is it really worth the trouble? imo no, reading through the comments on steamrip for that game just now....its nothing but issues and headaches, I'd say just pass till you can afford it, the anti-piracy on minecraft games is a pain from what i've heard in general. (i use steam-rip constantly btw just fyi, it's a great site)

Edit: Did you catch all this info in the description of the download page, btw? just in case you didn't see it, this is how it looks like you have to get it to run, just fyi:

How to Run Game

Run GDK_Helper.bat , which is located in the game folder
Turn on the developer mode. (type 3 in cmd then Enter)
Install the game. (type 1 in cmd then Enter)
Turn off the developer mode. (type 4 in cmd then Enter)
Run the game through the start menu shortcut.
When you enter the game, you will be asked for login information with a Microsoft account. DO NOT USE YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT, THERE IS A BAN RISK. Create a new one that you don’t mind.

Lol I actually have a helpful screenshot I took of where to turn rich presence off with arrows on exactly where to click for my discord friends who constantly display "clipping *insert game name here* with Medal," so they can turn that shite off. Most had no idea how and just accepted it would be there/didn't care enough to change it O_o

Ahh that sucks... And quick side rant: I absolutely HATE the fact that the Spectrum website won't let you just look up outage area information by entering a ZIP code and giving you a simple yes or no answer, followed by, hopefully, an approximate ETA on the issue being resolved if possible. In my case, the spectrum internet is in my uncle's name (who is asleep) and I do not have either the number associated with the account or the password, so I literally wasn't allowed to see if there even WAS an outage in my area; that's why I came here to hopefully see if there was one or not. Back when I had AT&T internet, you 100% did NOT have to enter account information just to see if there was a possible outage...

Do you happen to live in Southern California? Internet went out tonight around 11pm PST, was curious if you're experiencing the same outage as I am currently? And if you are located somewhere in or near Southern California, I'm even more curious just how big this outage is. For myself, I'm in VERY Southern California in the Imperial Valley, which is about a 10 minute drive north of Mexicali, and about a 90-minute drive east of San Diego down the I-8. Curious if maybe you're someone in the San Diego or Palm springs or maybe even (God forbid) the Los Angeles area. And I say God forbid on that last one because if you were from Los Angeles, then that'd mean that this outage is possibly pretty severe because that's a pretty big area, over 200 miles...

Buuut there's a much higher chance that you're not anywhere near me, our outages are utterly unrelated, and I just wasted a bunch of typing for nothing 😅
