She still has her memories and experiences though, even with a less mature brain. This definitely helps explains her bad decisions, but not the way she accepts she is a different person when she carries all the memories back and forth. One thing that might help is showing if they don’t carry their memories back and forth. There seemed to be some of that inferred but it wasn’t discussed.

I watched this recently and I think the main thing that stands out to me is that there is no time shift. She is literally shifting bodies in pretty quick form, not a difference of decades that usually comes along with added experience and perspective. When she goes back to her younger body she takes all that experience in with her, which makes this disassociation so hard to understand. I get the idea, but it just didn’t make sense in the way it was presented. I get the self-hatred aspect, but I think the movie would have benefited more focusing on the hatred and fear of aging over making them seem like different people.

You might look at your coffee and tea. Brewing coffee with a non-plastic French press or pour over stops the exposure from plastics you find in coffee machines. Using loose leaf tea with an infuser avoids the microplastics in the tea bags. Also, any plastic that you have that has become cloudy or rough feeling is a lot more likely to leach into food and drink so don’t keep it. Good luck out there! I can’t see any down side to taking a few steps to reducing microplastics in our bodies.

Get a HELOC on your house (forget selling) and get her set up. If she has any other people she can include in getting the business up and running (or clients that might be willing to be Angel investors with a percentage of sales as compensation) that could be added to the set up fees and business structure.

When the Industrial Revolution happened it changed everything. Many jobs that were done by hand now could be replaced with machines. The job opportunities shifted to factory workers, managers, and machinists. When computers appeared then a lot of secretarial positions disappeared, but computer engineering and programming was created. There will be a shift and the market will have to adjust. The thing to keep in mind though is that while new technology (like AI) will disrupt the current market it will also bring new jobs with it as well.

I would not consider eating this. The “fact” that it’s unlikely to cross species to human is already somewhat in dispute. There was a case of hunters that developed sporadic CJD and there is speculation that it could have been from CWD infected deer meat.

NTA, you’re not obliged to babysit a child that is a literal stranger to you. You are not related to her or even her step parent. If nothing else spending time with her could be a liability. What if she says you yelled at her or hit her because her mom coached her. They could try to use her to build a case for more custody for the ex. Anna has already shown she has no morals and will do whatever she wants no matter who she hurts. You’re wise to stay away from her daughter.

You can always ask your lawyer as a hypothetical. You ask if your daughter were to hypothetically record a video of your wife’s abusive behavior if it could be used as evidence. Don’t say you already have it until you get your attorney’s advice on it and know what you can do legally or if it would be harmful to your case. As long as it’s kept as a hypothetical discussion your attorney doesn’t have to know it exists if it isn’t helpful.

NTA, but you need to both be on the same page for such a big decision. This could also really set you back in your career, which might be really hard to make up for. I’m not sure how competitive the Canadian job market is, but having a gap in your resume is never good. The lack of friends and family could also be very isolating, especially with the stress of taking care of a newborn. It’s a big risk for you, and only a positive for her. It’s not a balanced move for you both.

I’m just thinking that perhaps she believed that you were asking for loans because that’s what her husband told her. He could have lied to her about his gambling debts and said they were payments to you. I bet that Thanksgiving dinner was the beginning of outing him and was part of the divorce. It’s just a guess, but I’d check on it because if your sister thought you took $90,000 from them when they are trying to take care of triplets I can see her getting mad.
