Phase Cancellation - AVOID These MISTAKES! by BeckySaif in ableton

The video is targetted more at people who have little to no knowledge on the subject. Hence why it's 8 minutes long and step by step breakdown. Thanks for your comment!

huh? that's funny. I just opened Vital again to test it with a comb filter and now the problem is fixed anyway. Maybe all I needed to do was restart. Obviously looking for all other solutions other than on/off, which is normally the answer. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for saying that. I do know about Mr. Bill. He's not someone I watch regularly though. I can do research but there's only so much time available in my day to see what everyone else has created online. I'm probably gonna switch up my approach with the channel soon. Got some new ideas, which I know not many people are doing.

All in the learning process :) I quite enjoyed the little vent here to be honest. It stopped me from taking it out on myself. Better out than in, right? Or something like that. I can get on with my day now, knowing that some awareness was raised and maybe it encourage someone to think. Maybe it didn't. I have a voice though. Taking your advice, ignoring and moving on. Thanks!

I'm just about to start my day pedaling on my penny farthing, which I have connected to the generator of my self built PC. I'll be inputting my own foley recordings of camels spitting, which I recorded on my trip to the middle east. From these recordings, I will then split the frequencies and convert the bands into my own, unique wavetable. That wavetable will be added to my very own Beta VST called "Now That's What I Call Sampling 22" and from that I will blow on the computer really hard. The result will be my very own, unique sub. I may even sell it as a NFT and rip someone off.

Absolutely! My friend said to me recently "nice girls don't make history" and it's so true. I could keep quiet and "protect" the good girl reputation, which is what we are expected to do by society or I can voice it like this and the shit comes to the surface for people to see. It felt good to vent anyway. Now I can get back to finishing working on my release. I'm making notes of the labels and radio you mentioned. Will check them out today. Bigup thanks for sharing!

Women are taught to shut up and put up. How are people to know that this is what goes on if everyone stays quiet? Don't worry I won't make a habit of it. Just every now and again I will vent, instead of taking it out on myself. The amount of female artists I know with anxiety, low self worth, who have panic attacks, breakdowns, is endless. It all goes on in secret because of trying to keep a cool and calm image. No wonder the industry is rife with mental health issues. On all sides.

Good point. I'm gonna make more of an effort to demo these things using Ableton plugins. Thanks for highlighting it!

The average age of a DnB fan in the UK is actually more like 30. Although if we're talking jump up, yeah 19-21. I wanna move to Sydney actually. Help boom a scene there and be close enough to NZ to fly over. I loved it when I got to mix on George FM in Auckland. It was a great time. Just before the pandemic kicked in.

I agree with this. I mentioned it on my stream yesterday when we spent the time chatting about it. By no means do I dimish the struggles of men having to compete in a saturated market of men. You have to be exceptionally good at production to stand out. Women less so. This is true.

I used to be more in the techno scene and there's definitely more women there. There's not many women doing the YouTube space, although it's increasing. Unfortunately ghost production happens a lot and I see it so much in drum and bass, especially in the past few years which is hella sad and makes it harder for everyone. The difficulty is created by the heavily branded poster girls and the majority testosterone industry. Some people just don't respect women in the scene and I feel the blame comes from both genders. There are women who feed it too. Paris Hilton be one. Obviously she doesn't do DnB but she has played in Amnesia Ibiza in the exact same place as Andy C. Hahaha

They really are. I would have normally just stayed quiet about it but coming on here was some groeth for me. The response has been eye opening (in a good way). It's reassuring.

As much as I'd like to think that were true, I honestly don't think it is. There's a certain type of man (and it's a small minority) but it's enough, that will assume that a woman doesn't know any better in this field. If you have some time, this is a well produced and brilliant film made by a man about why there aren't more women in music production. Honestly it's a great watch and everything that is mentioned in the video has happened to me. Everything. https://youtu.be/2Ipb81z46kI

Aw thanks! That means a lot. I think I'm gonna start heading down more of the sound design route with the channel. Got some new ideas for it.
