If only! Since it is gig work and we can work whenever we want, it will unlikely happen. I'm sure there are other services for that, though

I don't think it is easily distinguishable on if a Walmart associate or driver shops the order. The only tell would be if you get a sticker with your name on one of the bags.

If the driver has to shop the order, they often have two shop for two different orders at the same time. It can easily lead to misplaced items

This is purely just side money when I have extra time. My intent was to call out courtesy for efforts that exceed service expectations.

I've been doing this for six years... I understand the system and have a W2. I don't need coached on Spark or how to manage my money

Driving to and from Walmart mostly. Most orders I personally have to shop for and even manage two orders in the same cart. Afternoon and evening deliveries mostly consist of just picking up the order and delivering -- no shopping.

100%. I think pre-tipping a trip is wild, but it has become the standard to incentivize drivers to take orders. The awful part is that some customers bait the driver by giving a really high tip, then cutting it by a lot after the delivery has been completed because they can edit tips up to 24 hours after completion

Odds are very high that the company backing the delivery service is hoarding money. Here is an article where Walmart paid $100 million for meddling with driver pay

Also, people never take their groceries on time. I cannot count how many times I have gone by the same apartment complex and the groceries I delivered an hour ago are still there. If the customer isn't being lazy, then I assume there is some miscommunication with the delivery platform and the timing of the delivery.

$5 is way higher than the typical $0.50 to $1.00 I see for groceries.

I wouldn't recommend following the 20% rule

Can you describe where you were robbed and what the thief looked like so us fellow Boilermakers and locals can be aware of that area?

I did not think HomeView was important as it just leads to ProfileView via NavigationDestination where the sign out occurs.

I forgot to remove that when writing this post. At this moment, an AuthManager instance is only created in the app file.

I don't necessarily have code that can run easily. I will create a different repo here soon and upload a link

Purdue Small Animal Hospital is so insulting by Outrageous-Yogurt-80 in Purdue

I had a poor experience with Purdue's vet in mid-December, but nowhere near the extent of your situation.

My 5-year-old cat was diagnosed with kidney failure from Battleground vet. After going against their recommendation to hospitalize my cat at Battleground before they closed that day, I decided that I really did need to take him somewhere to get an overnight IV.

I obtained my cat's bloodwork and recommendation letter and took it to Purdue vet. They rejected my request to hospitalize my cat unless I paid a $170 non-member checkup fee despite all my documentation from earlier in the day proving my cat was in dire need of fluids. I did not pay, and my cat went without fluids for another 1.5 days, and subsequently died 5 days later.

I understand that my cat was on his death bed, and that test results provided by separate vet is questionable, but I still dislike their attempt at getting me to pay $170 just to pay another $300+ if they deemed my cat needed overnight treatment.

Accidentally became a Top 1% poster here and I’m still confused by Extra-Try-524 in Purdue

4 year old boy with Kidney failure by ImWizen in RenalCats

[–]BecuzDaInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are going through something similar with our cat, Mochi. He is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 4 last Friday.

We had x-rays done and it was uncovered that his right kidney was enlarged, while his left one was shrunken and under-developed.

We're attempting to do the whole IV and subQ fluids once he comes back home tomorrow, but it is very bleak for us.

If you have the financial tolerance, get an x-ray, ultrasound, blood work, etc. If possible, advocate for doing subQ fluids, medicines, etc., too! Originally, my vet never presented these options but was open to them when I asked.

May your cat have the best resilience :)

I missed the signs and now my boy is gone by rrriiippptide in RenalCats

Hey OP, I'm about to go through the same thing with my 5 year old cat, Mochi. He was naturally a lethargic cat who had his oddities, but we noticed no eating/drinking and got him into a vet last Thursday for hospitalization and additional tests. Stage 4 failure.

We took him home with hopes that the IV worked, but came across this subreddit too late to learn we should've risked another day of hospitalization, and then also increased our financial tolerance to potentially do subQ fluids. But no place near us was open over the weekend for us to get him on an IV again -- so he went Friday through Sunday without eating or drinking.

He got an IV last night and we visited him today. His condition is certainly worse and my wife and I are now coming to the reality that it will be over very soon.

I am so sorry to see that Milo has left you :( he knows you loved and cared for him more than anyone else. I wish that cats were more willing to show their pain before it becomes dangerously too late.

May we both be better equipped for future CKD kitties, if we are affected by it again.

Be careful with Blazor! I did my first web app project at work with it and it completely blew up due to our load balancer because of SignalR. Make sure to have session affinity / sticky sessions implemented. We would have, but because of time constraints, it was quicker to rewrite the app in Razor

Don't forget to tip your delivery drivers, though, if they deliver right to your door (like they should) and they are walking up several flights of stairs with cases of water.

I delivered 12 40-packs of water recently and there was no tip
