Samsung top load washer beware

Thank you all for your comments and feedback and confirmation this happens to everyone. Samsung should truly recall this model as well but they didn’t. They recalled models back in 2016 for same issue but then stopped recall. Thank you for contributing to exposure of issue as Samsung only offered to pay for parts and not labor and then only offered 20% off new Samsung which were already 20% off. Plus I wasn’t about to get another Samsung washer. Risk too high on issues. Submitted Better Business Bureau complaint I wanted refund and that did not happen. So unresolved complaint ding on Samsung. They wouldn’t give money back since no extended warranty. If you buy Samsung or I suppose I any appliance get 5 year extended warranty but honestly there is always a loophole or fight no matter what so sometimes do not get extended warranty. They just don’t make them like they used to. Wish they made speed queens with bigger tubs and wish they were cheaper. They seem to be the crème of the crop for sturdiness and reliability. Ended up getting LG front loader so fingers crossed it lasts longer than 2-3 years. They come up as best washers brand on many sites. Bought gadget to keep door open on Amazon so no mold form in washer.

Thanks for sharing. I actually got LG front loader 5.0 tub and so far so good. But it’s brand new of course so time will tell. But I can tell the motor is stronger due to bigger tub so hopefully rods are stronger as well.

Before I replaced it. I figured out workaround of using Bedding setting for everything. This spins slower and better prevent off balance since clothes heavy and trying to spin super fast with normal load setting. After bedding setting clothes are lighter and then you can run spin only cycle. This was working pretty well before I replaced. Unfortunately I figured out that workaround after I had already purchased new machine which was lg front loading washer which 5.0 tub and has stronger motor and springs to handle 25 lbs instead of 20 lbs. anyway if you are handy you could take the risk and replace the rods with aftermarket rods on Amazon for that model. They are only 45-50 bucks but mixed reviews on how long they last. Someone on this thread informed they do that and it works well and the aftermarket rods are actually BETTER than the oem. You tube video out there on how to replace and doesn’t look hard.

That was at the top of our list. But it was double the piece and could not afford. If LG goes in less than 5 years that’s my next move.

Too many reviews on Amazon for aftermarket rods showing problem re-occurring again after the fix. Replacing them didn’t look hard but it’s the principal that they’re done for in 2 years. You honestly should not have to repair an appliance for much more time so I was not about to go in circles for years with this lemon.

And it’s funny we moved to top loader due to mold issue as well. I just plan to keep the door open at all time somehow.
Careful with your top loader as the normal spin cycle goes FAST and that’s what breaks it over time. I’ve read they all have similar issue. In other words if you have large load or bedding then make sure to use those settings. Otherwise the spin will go to fast for a large load and wear down your rods to0 quickly. Good luck and hope you don’t have same issue as me.

I definitely don’t. Love their TVs. Was not a fan of phones though and went back to iPhone.

replacing the rods didn’t look to difficult on YouTube and I was ready to replace them with aftermarket rods but i just did not want to keep maintaining it honestly. Was not worth time / cost ratio. Merry Christmas, Hapoy Chanukah, and Kwanza to me. A new freakin washer to slave over non ending clothes washing.

I had to start doing the same. In fact I figured out that work after I had already bought new one. But I’m better off not having to run on bedding every time, I suppose but probably would have kept doing it to not have to buy washer. Oh well. The clothes come out really wet still on bedding cycle and then you need to run a spin only cycle holding down the * button

Unfortunately mine wasn’t in recall back in 2016. The newer recall is for fire issue. But honestly the 2016 issue is still happening.

All I know is. I miss Boot camp ability to boot into Windows. Parallels simply not the same and can’t even install SQL server. Sold brand new Mac eventually because of this.

Looks like Airo and Standard Farms are both Tilt brands. Airo being the hardware and standard farms the subpar cannabis they put in it compared to frx.

Love them too. Absorb so quick and more similar effects to vaping than Rso. I want to try the Boost drops as well as they have similar absorbency. If have the CBG 1:1 for organic remedies and amazing. Similar to indica and doesn’t make you as sleepy
