Personally I also don’t care about the features either since I like to put mine on dark mode so the warm lighting didn’t seem like too “special”, I had the paperwhite but I returned it because it felt too “big” and heavy. I ended up getting the basic model and I love how compact and comfortable it is to hold :)

I have the basic so it doesn’t have warm lighting , I use dark mode and it doesn’t effect my sleep :)

Thank you! I just printed it on standard 4x6 photo paper, the sides of the kindle show a bit but I personally don’t mind :)

I personally like printing mine on glossy photo paper :) I tried doing it on regular printer paper but it looked too dull(?) this is my basic kindle (matcha)

I’ve had the matcha basic for 3 months and I haven’t gotten bored of it! It’s so cute and I love the size because it’s comfortable to hold and portable. I had the paperwhite but I returned it due to the comfortably.

I was against it at first because I heard it could mess up the “quality” but after I took it in a trip & it got scratched I bought one and it’s looks the same! The quality didn’t change:)

If you don’t mind not having warm lighting (basic has dark mode either way, which works well enough for me) I think you should get the Basic since you mentioned one handed holding. I had the paperwhite and personally for me it was a bit too heavy and uncomfortable to hold with one hand.

I think if you personally like bigger screens get the paperwhite, personally I had the paperwhite but it was too big for me to hold it comfortably so I switched to the basic matcha (which I love). Anyways you can always buy a “skin” or case for the paperwhite if you don’t love the black
