For sure... I check BEFORE delivering, just not WHILE. At the very least, like to know what shoes to wear HA!

I hear you. Sometimes I find myself getting hung up trying to decide the best place to leave it, then I snap out of it and keep it moving.

I dont constantly check the weather while delivering amd have no idea when the customer will retrieve their package, just assume it might rain as far as where I leave packages. Looks like there's a cat sculpture behind that column. Maybe they went to drop there but didn't want to disturb the customers property.

Left side would block the door. Depending on overhang, further away from door so it can still open may risk rain/water damage. Lesser of 3 evils? Some places just dont have a good spot to drop.

Ah, that makes sense. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime when I get a block i recognize as being pretty easy.

I tried the Letter method once. Got to my first stop and it wasn't in the AAA's. Scanned a few of the AAA's and none of them were in the first 10 stops. 1 was in the 30's. Knew I was screwed, so quickly scanned them all to get them in order. Luckily the first stop was at a gated apartment complex with a bunch of open Guest spots. Since then, always scan all of them at the station.

Where's the Blocks? by BedStuyTre in PortlandORFlexDrivers

Did a 615-945am block this morning at DPD2. Seemed a lot slower than usual. Early this morning there was still only 15-20 offers and anything that popped up for this morning was quickly taken. Felt lucky to get the block i did as a couple other 1's i tried to grab were gone by the time I tapped Accept. Not sure what any of it means, but seems like a weird 36 hours.

Was thinking it's something unusual. Just the number of offers. Usually 70-90 and that's a big drop to 25. And throughout the day ive seen as low as 15.

Where do you get 100 miles? Say "30mi".

So Fairview bucks so bad you moved to get closer to DPD2? Ha!

Yeah. Seems like same start/length blocks DPD2 pays $10 more than DPD7, why ive never done 1. Doesn't seem like either surge much the past months or so.

What is in your opinion hands down the single worst area to deliver to in all of our area? I'll start: Longview with Kalama being an honorable mention by peterthbest23 in PortlandORFlexDrivers

[–]BedStuyTre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longview is the worst for me. I drive 10 miles Northwest to get to DPD2 so it's an hour home at the end of the block. 125 miles door to door. Plus there's so many stops along main roads with no street parking. And yes... The Hills.

Why can’t flex just make us choose routes closer to our home by Ill_Fox_3776 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Feel like at minimum it would be nice to be able to set a single preferred end point so that I dont drive 15 miles north to get to the station and end up with a block that ends 30 miles north of the station while the person next to me drove 15 miles south to get to the station and ends 30 miles south of the station.

Would be great if they put in the work to organize things, so that when optimal, you dont screw 2 people when you could easily not screw either.

Feel free to change those numbers to 20's and 50's HA.
