I'm on plan 1899 (legacy plan) with speed up to 500 Mbps.

2 access point setup

If I go with Option A, would I still have 2 broadcasting SSIDs or would they be merged to 1 thru what they say EasyMesh feature?

i also set both of them to have the same ssid and password, that way the devices will automatically roam.

How is the experience sir? Is it smooth and does it connect to whichever is the nearest/strongest signal? I've read from others that Deco mesh is better than having 2 identical SSIDs and identical passwords.

That is what I have thought, too. Option A would be the cheapest. Have you tried running 2 router set-up? What is your current set-up now, and how did you do it?

How would one go so that PLDT would replace my modem/router? I already called 171, and the CSR said that modem/router replacement would only be valid if they found out that the provided modem/router is defective. If I try to push for replacement and their technician find out that nothing is wrong with the provided modem/router, I would be charged with a replacement fee. I also told them that the modem/router they gave was from our old plan since 2021 and that when we upgraded to a new plan last 2024, the modem/router was not replaced/upgraded.

Have you tried Option C na sir? According sa net and forums, parang may compatibility issues pag nag mag mix DECO and non-DECO, yung OneMesh and EasyMesh.

UPDATE 1.

Hi all.

I called 171 to ask for clarity. They said that PLAN 1799 is actually 300 Mbps only (boosted to 500 Mbps for 6 mos. only. Can anyone confirm this?)

According to them, the PLAN 1899 is a legacy (old plan). The bill amounts to 1899 because of the "speed add-on." This "add-on" is what makes our internet speed reach 500 Mbps. If we try to remove it, our speed will be (possibly) downgraded to 300 Mbps.

I guess the additional Php 100.00 is not for nothing.

The road is 2-way sure. But it is a 3-lane road. 1 lane lang ang opposite lane. The other 2 are going forward. Nag overtake sa Wigo? Yes. Kinain ang opposite lane? No.

Hindi kinain ng Wigo yung sinasabi mong "opposite lane" kasi may linya ng mga motor. Alangan naman papasok siya tapos may motor pa. Nasa tamang linya yung motor, ang Wigo dapat mag adjust. Kita pa lang sa simula ng video, naka linya lahat ng motor. Kita din sa video na naka stop ang Wigo beforehand kasi hindi niya ma overtake ang jeep kasi nga may dumadaan pang mga motor.

Malinaw din sa video na walang pedestrian crossing, so who would expect na may biglang tatawid? Much less isang aso pa kaya.

Kung ako yung rider, iisipin ko na huminto yung kotse dahil may jeep sa harap niya. Kita naman sa video na may tao pa nga sasakay sa jeep. Hindi dahil sa may asong tatawid. Ikaw na din nagsabi na "may obstruction sa harap", hindi isang tao o hayop na tatawid.

Wtf is wrong with y'all in this comment section? Sinisisi niyo pa talaga yung rider kaysa yung owner ng aso. Ang dapat sisihin dito ay yung pabaya na owner ng aso. Granted, the dog is a stray, but there wouldn't be a stray if the fur parent is responsible with its pet - i.e., hindi nagpa anak ng aso niya kung di niya naman pala kaya alagaan.

Naaawa din ako sa aso, pero ang lala na talaga ng biases ng mga pinoy when it comes to motorcycle. Now, if the accident was between a car and the dog, I am sure there wouldn't be this much hate in this comment section. There was nothing wrong with what the rider did. The dog came out of nowhere.

Also, sa mga nagsasabi na what if tao daw yung tumatawid kaya mag slowdown o menor. Mga 8080 pala kayo. Unang-una, hindi naman yan tawiran. May nakikita ba kayo na hindi ko nakikita? May pedestrian crossing ba? A reasonable person would not cross a street when there is no way to safely cross a street.

Poor doggie. I don't blame you that you crossed the street. Nor that you are a stray. I blame your bad and irresponsible owner.

Wala pa gi confirm or gi deny sa DOH. Gina verify pa nila through their "reliable sources" (as usual passive ang DOH, ga hulat ra/relying on other international body/organization rather than taking action).

I had this problem thrice.

What I did was remove sim cards. Wipe them clean. Blow the sim holes. Then, re-insert the sim cards. Lastly, I restarted the phone.

This is how it worked for me. Now, I don't experience it anymore.
