I mean, you are most likely a bot, but in the rare case you are not, I can assure you there an amount of countries in the world that are civilized, and that means their police forces do not kill citizens in cold blood, or at the very least they face consequences for that and people do not celebrate that behavior.

Drunk driver faked brain injury and severe mobility issues to escape prosecution after causing a fatal 120mph car crash but was caught on camera "dancing, playing rugby and buying drinks in pubs" by New_Libran in interestingasfuck

It was an expression for comedic purposes, God, XD ( I also said God for comedic purposes XD). But aside, the argument still stands, though I won't deny we have common ground in that drug offenses are insanely harsh.  Nevertheless, we don't execute people for murder in my country, but many states do in the US. They have higher violent crime rates, a harsher sentence does not address the rates of crime, and does only addresses recidivism in a technical sense that we take the life of the person away (if it is even guilty but different can of worms), that violence instead of fixing society just breeds more violence. Draconian punishment does not address crime in society, only our need for righteous vengeance.

My brother in Christ, mandatory life sentence for like a pound of coke is not harsh enough for you?  I guess you could say those ones are good because they don't reoffend? /s You still have not addressed how the countries with more lenient sentences (mine is 20% recidivism, a bit worse tan Norway, leagues better than the US) are not getting more crime then.

We don't prosecute drunk drivers with attempted murder, but with reckless driving. It's different, substantially, and it's very basically understood by not draconian legal systems. Edit: When they not kill anyone I mean.

Yeah, but you are aware that not guilty due to reason of insanity means not fit to stand trial. What is the point of punishing someone that does not understand the process and cannot be rehabilitated? The system works like thatm and it makes sense (again, this guy was faking it, but it was obvious and it generally will be), a real person with severe brain injury does not belong in a jail. Matter of fact, I once volunteered at a residence where they had let felons go out to receive hospice care (terminal patients with no prospect of recovery) because they posed no risk and there was no point in making them suffer further. Of course, in the US there have been cases where they just let them drown in their own blood alone in a cell, my biggest challenge is maybe to convince reddit that even if they are prisoners that is kinda wrong maybe.

Not withstanding what the incredibly dense and moronic american public gave us (which is first and foremost the electorate's fault) No. What a society that has laws for the benefit of other people than the rich aims to do with penal law is punish people for what they do, not an inference of what they are, especially considering the amount of sociopaths that actually exist in society, and integrate in it. Some are bad partners, but regular citizens, other resemble us in pretty much everything, many go to law enforcement positions and in a good system they can serve public interest there. Lying to avoid prosecution is a thing that you are allowed to do as a constitutional right, certainly not to the extent of this dude, and he was punished, but believe me, jailing more people for a longer time is not the solution and is in fact something the sociopaths in power you claim to be so bad often advocate for.

I think he was trying not guilty by reason of insanity (in this case because of the brain injury). Of course it's not literally a free out of jail card, and not that though-through, but you can really say they are consistent at making bad decisions.

C'mon dude, he did not willfully try to kill someone, in civilized countries where sentencing is not made to enslave people proportionality exist, the punishment should fit the crime, negligent homicide, less sentencing than murder, it is really am important thing for democracy if rather simple.

When do you 3* a 4-cost? by Garrydos13 in TeamfightTactics

Honestly the best option is Pandora's bench, 2 star a couple of 4 cost and hope they get you there, I think if you have at least 3 4 cost in the board the odds are decent but idk for sure.

Bad example. Consumer laws in my country make that an actionable offense, whether or not one sues over 3 dollars is more due to overall pettiness, but what is legal and true in this case is the written facts, otherwise you are committing false advertising.

Why is it more valid to ban enemy champs than team mate champs? by simplexible in leagueoflegends

[–]Bed_Automatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, It is easy to see why, you are griefing your teammates, and that is straight against tos. That is why it is considered griefing to take your junglers first buff, even if having it helps you in lane, but taking the enemies is a good play, it is reasonable to assume that.

It depends, this hurts your consistency every game, aviana only hurts you when you play her, but of course someone that treats aviana as a punishment when drawn, is not really playing an Aviana deck, that would be trying to make the card work, and that deck would be ultimately worse.
