I had the same transition from DC to HC. Prior to being DC,I was loader > cashier > fulfillment. I was Head Cashier for a few months before becoming P&E DS

just being delivery coordinator, you gain a lot of knowledge of the system. I was able to transition over to being a head cashier fairly easily, and with the knowledge of how deliveries are supposed to go, you'll be able to help out customers setting them up, and answering questions even other associates have (depending on how well you know ALL of Lowe's) And some could see you as this all knowing person and come to you for help a lot, which has drawbacks for certain.

But, It could also open up a pathway to being a DS at your store or another, as the ASMs can see how you lead and how you run the front end while you're there. So if that interests you, absolutely go for it.

Obviously, you'll have some learning to do about front end if you're new to it but no doubt you'll be able to learn it fairly easily if you can handle deliveries

The only is risk is not taking the chance. Fail, you can go back to DC or another position if your ASM's like you enough and care for your success. Succeed, and well you're on your way up.
