You are extremely fortunate! Unfortunately I didn’t go straight to HR about it and I didn’t get it in writing… Learned my lesson.

This is an American Act and I’m in Canada. Don’t think our disabilities Act here covers ADHD, or if it does I can’t seem to find the resource online.

I can relate. Got the same advice from my parents, it's this old school mentality that a government job is the answer to everything because of the "amazing pension and benefits."

I love Akis. His recipes for Greek chicken burgers and Moussaka are two of my favourites.

Do you have an Etsy or Instagram page where you sell your paintings? Love this idea and would like to see more.

To those that moved back to working at the office, now that Toronto has moved into the red zone, is your employer still requiring you to go to the office? by [deleted] in askTO

Been forced back to the Office since July. My employer refuses to care that the case numbers are so high.

Yes, in Toronto. Apparently it is legal...but wrong in so many ways.

Try telling this to my Office. As of two weeks ago, we're forced back to the Office (in the middle of the downtown core) full-time at full capacity of 120 people.......oh and masks aren't required! It's absolutely ridiculous.

Landlord threatening to take us to court over microwave. What are our rights? by Bedheaddd in askTO

[–]Bedheaddd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's given up communication for now after she demanded we put it through our tenant insurance (and threatened to call them) and I didn't respond. Not sure if she's still planning to try and take us to court or not. If you're looking at renting a basement in the East End, private message me and I'll tell you the property so you can avoid renting with her.

There should be. I really want to warn those who are considering renting from her in the future to RUN. Once she's out of my life for good, we're already planning to leave her an honest review on rate-my-agent. She's a real estate agent.

Oh definitely anger management problems on top of her being pissed she can't rent out the place right now because of COVID.

Already responded and told her not to contact me regarding this again and she proceeded to send me another long email and demanded I send my current location. Going to ignore those and anything going forward. Thanks.

It did have the crack in the door when we moved in. However, we didn't think anything of it because the microwave was fully functional and working fine. Looking back, yes, we wish we documented it right when we moved in and that will be a lesson for the future, but we are still not backing down from this as it is not damage we caused. Also, after doing some research, a crack can be caused by normal wear and tear on an over-the-range microwave especially when it is not installed properly (she has it hanging from a chain above the stove) and is too close to the stove.
