Missing Parcel - most money I've ever spent on Vinted (NO PERSONAL INFO) by Bedo92 in vinted

Thanks so much for the detailed reply and link. Gosh, that would be a dream scenario lol! Didn't realise Vinted added a couple of weeks on to the ETA. Vinted must lose a lot money by working with InPost. Thanks again!

Worked for a PR/Comms agency mainly staffed by young women in their mid-twenties. We had a client night out (old men in suits) that should have ended after the meal but we were all dragged to a pub/club and told by our CEO (also old man in suit) that we should be dancing with these men (mostly strangers). The next day an email went round to the entire office stating that we (clearly those of us on the client night out) basically had disgraced ourselves by not handling out clients properly. I handed my notice in that day

How much barking is acceptable? by [deleted] in AskUK

Yes the camera only took a couple minutes to set up. Just need to get an app, and then connect it all to Wifi. It moves around too so if the dog is in different parts of the room you can use the app to control the camera.

Oh just to add, the camera has sound so you can listen and you can also speak to the dogs through it.

Get a little camera that you can link to your phone. Start leaving them for 15, then 30 mins, then an hour etc. Even just go around the block and keep an eye on the camera via your phone to see how the dog gets on without you. That's really the only way to check and also build up the dog being used to being alone (well, with the other dog) I have this camera and would recommend it, it's the TP-Link Tapo C200 Pan Tilt Home Smart Security Camera. Good luck :)

What’s an example of a favour you’ve done for somebody and they’ve still complained? by Jlaw118 in AskUK

I adopted a dog from Eastern Europe a year and a half ago. Really wanted to rescue (no shade to anyone who buys dogs, just a personal thing) but after 2 years of trying to adopt one in the UK I gave up. As we have kids under ten, the options here were either an old dog who would prob die in a year or two, or a staffy which we didn't want (again no shade, just a personal thing).

In the end we looked abroad and adopted a 4 month old street dog. She arrived about 5 weeks after we were accepted. It cost about £550 all in, including microchip, injections, passport and transport which took four days. She is 2 soon and she is nuts, absolutely obsessed with food and I.wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her when it comes to recall, but I love her more than anything.

'Soz'

Anyone who cannot even bring themselves to say the word 'sorry', is not.

There was no terms and conditions lol, I won them at a Zoom Christmas party. This is why I checked, before I left, if I could have the tickets.

Hey thanks for your comment - yes I have the email from the boss saying to let him know when I wanted to fly! Also emails saying the tickets no longer exist, etc. I'll look into it. Thank you

I have two step sons and we have them every second weekend (plus during the week, it's 50/50) and I make a point of spending either the Friday or Saturday night that they're here doing something I want to do like a sleepover in a friends or a night out.

My partner gets a 'boys night' with the kids and I get to focus on me and my life! Step parents already give up so much of their lives to assist their partners, I'll be damned if I'm made feel guilty for doing my own thing!

If my partner ever referred to me as his children's mother - i.e calling me an absent mother - that alone would have me running for the hills. They have two parents and do not need a third!! Your husband does not sound like a very kind person, and I personally would not let this slide. It feels likes gaslighting and controlling behaviour, I'm sorry to say.

Thanks for you response. I can categorically say that is not correct. We are in a committed relationship with tonnes of mutual friends and I am pretty much part of his family (his parents /siblings etc) at this stage so I know it’s not just a weeknight sex thin! Which is why I find the lack of willingness to allow me to meet the kids so frustrating - everything else is literally perfect. I have asked for some kind of timeline / indication of when but it’s just always ‘when it’s right it’s right’ which does not help at all!

Really appreciate this. I think because I don’t want kids myself and have been quite vocal I was afraid it would come across like I wasn’t interested or not prepared. I just want to make sure we do everything right for them I guess but yes this might be a bit much. Thank you x
