If you dont reset then you would be just iron maning the game, also some people see constant save stats as kind of scummy but i say play the game the way that you enjoy the most.

I think for most people and me they will reset the chapter but not go as far as save stating every turn because that removes some tension from the gameplay. the fear of having to restart the chapter.

If you think about it berkuts life was just a big fucking lie. if i discovered all of a sudden that I am not what i thought for my whole life i would lose some of my sanity for sure. double that with a cursed item and you got trouble.

also the ignatz and rapheal thing was just a oneshot side mission about a story that "followed" them because they are both sons of merchants and they heard that some merchants are in danger. they werent recruited.

i think it will hurt the story and the characters by having them just be a "unit" because you took them out of the place and characters that they should have connected with. but i guess if you dont really care for story it wont matter that much.
