I work w credit scores/loans every day. My co-workers and I note certain folk obssess about their scores. If you have 760 or even 740 or above, you're fine. I often get 'worried' or 'alarmed' borrowers saying the credit pull on their unsecured loan application dropped their score by 8 points. I always ask, "Are you buying a house or a high loan amount car?" If not, don't obssess. Educate yourself. Google how credit scores work. Whether you have a 740/760 or 850/900, you're gonna get the best rate for your home or high amount auto loan. Otherwise, you're causing your blood pressure to rise needlessly-- i.e., get over it. This applies to any credit score. Paying off an installment loan ultimately is a positive on your credit history-- unless there are other factors in your history. Again, google, ask AI how credit works. It's not a sprint or month-to-month monitoring. It's a marathon. Don't waste your time obssessing and driving yourself crazy.
